House
« on: October 09, 2005, 08:57:37 pm »
This is a topic about House and why it is a great show.

For those of you who don't know, House is an excellent medical drama that's on at 9:00 PM EST on Fox. It features a brilliant diagnostician with a terrible meanstreak who makes fun of his staff and pokes fun at the serious situation with his dark sense of humor (run-on). The show features a new moral dilemma every episode, ranging from saving the life of a guy so that he's healthy enough to be executed by the state, putting 2 dying babies on different medications so the doctors can see which one dies and save the rest of the babies which have contracted the epidemic... It's really a great show.

So, done with my rant, what do you all think?

This cannot be so, perhaps he could play an embittered bitingly witty diagnostician who is forced to make life or death descisions on a daily basis. constantly struggling with great moral dilemas and his own internal issues. It could be on NBC, theyll take anything about now i'm sure.

I guess starring in the Hitchhikers movie is sort of a break. Bear in mind he hasnt done any actual acting in years. I think hes sticking to panel quiz shows and such. Easy money. My ideal career would be proffesional panel quiz contestant

House isn't on because of American Idol. I'd rather watch compelling medical drama than watch an angry man with a British accent yell at people who can't sing. Anyone else?

Yesa  bitter man using a fake American accent and merely raising his voice (sometimes yelling) at people who don't give his department enough money is much better.

I'm serious, it is, I love House.

Except when the writers give him feelings. I dont care if the lawyer is his ex! I dont want to know why hes screwed up! Stupid movieland hacks, trying to ruin a character with feelings.

Gregory House, I volunteer to have your bitter babies. I know I'm a man, and you're a man... but dude... BABIES.

This is the House of God.

My life advice is to grow up and become a cynical pill-popping world-renouned diagnostician.

oh please, as if there's a person alive anywhere who doesn't have feelings.  the reason House is so abrasive is because he has Asperger's Syndrome.  it's totally obvious from the the logical, intuitive, ruthless way he practices medicine and from the way he applies the same techniques to dealing with people.
