Cherel (A.K.A. 2500kgm3)'s fauna!
« on: June 18, 2008, 04:13:39 pm »
These are the creatures in the shared sporepedia of 2500kgm3, my alias in the Spore universe.

Early PoliCruris

The PoliCruris are sentinent beings whose species originated on a planet with very rough terrain, so their leg configuration evolved to be capable of walking in any environment. Due to their design, these beings are always very aware of their suroundings.

This creature is based off the idea of radial symetry, using three axis. This means this creature has virtualy no "back" or "front". This is the original version of this creature. As millions of years pass, the PoliCruris will keep its general form and peculiar leg disposition, but would evolve to become a dangerous predator, with an expansive civilization.

Magnapite

These feared predators are deady on close fights. Fortunately, the Magnapite is not a very fast being chasing down his preys. The horns of these animals are very precious and many species have tried hunting them, although it may prove to be dangerous.

This creature is one of my first tries of getting a predator wich was likely to be on the top of the food chain. It's leg configuration can be a bit strange, but it feels right on movement, and its arms are an evolution of my first concept for this being, wich was too influenced by the typical zergling arm distribution (arms with claws surrounding the creature's mouths) It was more intimidating, but it was not quite original.

Latrilico

These creatures can be found quiet in the suroundings of rivers and swamps, pretending to be stones among the mud and vegetation. They are silent and deadly predators, however, ready to jump on any small prey which passes nearby. But they can be cute too.

The latrilici (pl) are a too slow to catch their small and fast preys, so they wait for them to come to their side. In combat, their hard skin and strong feet compensate their weak mouths.

Silicatio

The Silicatio is a very timid carnivore whose skin has evolved to resemble a rock like those found on many planets. They sit for hours without moving pretending to be stones, only to hit their prey the second it is close enough to the silicatio.

It was hard to make the silicatio look like a rock when given the order to sit in the test drive. As a clarification, I will say I do not use tricks like puting creature parts inside others where they can not be seen but still add to the stats. The mouth of this creature is visible and functional: it is nearly between its front legs. This means to eat his preys, the silicatio sits over them... and keeps pretending to look like a rock.

Crowned PoliSono

The songs and calls of a Polisono are among the most beautiful sounds known to any species. This fast carnivore travels in packs, and several of them hunt together exchanging information through singing no matter how far they are from each other.

Singing is so important in their society, that their back is covered by elements to help them in emiting sounds.

New creature!

The Quapiscator

The Quapiscator is a creature designed to prey on small fishes. It walks on shallow water with his legs disguised as swamp trees and waits for a fish to pass under it. Then, the mouth-appendix goes down extremely fast and catches it in less than a second. It is common to see groups of these beings in the shores and beaches, waiting silently for food to come with the tides.
