So the site is moved. You'll be able to tell that it's on the new server because of the brand new "Spell Check" button on the bottom of the page! One thing down and about a million to go...

Yay! \@/

Spell check test.

Cool Steve! The post above was before the maintenance mode.

Sweet, it works great!

P.S. Is there any reason why I can't see my avatar, but I can see everyone else's?

And how do you explain this? http://www.imgcity.net/server/primary/Not right.JPG

Your avatar should be up and working now.

Let me know if you see anything else odd (but give me details so that I can debug it).

Ah, simple, the time on this server might be different than the original host. I can look into that and fix that.

I'm glad, the sites been down quite a bit lately.

It has been a total comedy of errors. Every single day something new was bringing down the site, including tonight. Every time I fixed it something else would break the site (something that wasn't my fault). It was just freaking insane.

Still need to tweak the settings on the new server, but at least now I have total control over everything.

Well the only minor issue (not really an issue) is that down on the bottom it says, "View the 10 most recent posts on the forum," but when you click on it it shows the 20 most recent posts. :-\ That's not new, it has been like that, well since at least when I joined.

Can't think of any real problems right now.

Except your new server is set on a different time zone, so everyone will have to change their time settings.

Seems like the sites running and loading faster now on my dial up.
Anyone else noticing any difference?

Yeah, Steve new server is lightning fast, especially because he's the only one on it.

I just noticed something else; when you hover over the recent posts button at the top, it says "Edit Profile." Clearly that's not what it is supposed to say.

Also, I am loving this new spellchecker!

So is the site faster for you guys? It's actually a bit slow for me, which is making me a bit concerned. I'm looking into the server load and seeing what's going on. But tomorrow should be a better test since the updated domain name will be all over the Internet.

Just keep mentioning anything you see and I'll get to those changes. The "big" ones I'll do right away (like having avatars working) but smaller ones (like the "last 10 posts") I'll fix a bit later.

I'm finally back on. I couldn't sign in last night even after the site was up. :(  I felt so left out. So far so good and it is fast for me too. Spell check is cool and I spelled everything right  ;D

edit to add: Do we still have the option to add polls? I tried to find it today and couldn't.

Your DNS must have updated later in the evening, which is why it took you some time to get moved over (it used to take 24-48 hours, but it only took me like 5 minutes to get the DNS updated last night).

Try to add a poll, it should work. The button is there for me and the option is turned on in the software, let me know if it's not working for some reason.
