WALL-E
« on: June 11, 2008, 04:19:12 pm »
It is about a robot that was sent to Earth to clean up the mess humans left, but he has a curiosity for his environment, and is quite lonely, until another robot lands.

I think this movie is really cute! I'm going to see it!

Looks like an interesting movie.

Seems like a good move to have a nearly silent protagonist.
In general the movie looks great, Pixar really invested their time well on this film.
(Now if they invested more time on Toy Story 3)

Is it me or does Wall-E's design look similar to Johny 5 from Short Circut?
A reincarnation perhaps ;)?
Kid: Oh wow I'm being deflowered by a grown woman!
Mother: By the way I'm your mother
Kid: OH GOD NO

EDIT: That's where it becomes rape if you were wondering.

It's not just you.

It's my mom, my sister, my grandma, my aunt, and my second cousin...

Pretty much all the females in my family that I know. Scary... :-\

Again, it's the first thing I think of every time I see this movie.  I'm also very annoyed at the director who, when questioned about the similar designs, passed Short Curcuit off as an unimportant movie from the 80's that had no bearing on Wall-E, when the designs are so similar, I have a seriously hard time believing there wasn't at least some inspiration taken from Johnny Five.  And for those of you who haven't seen Short Circuit..

I think this movie is evilly green.  It'll probably convert a few children to the evil Al Gore Church.  So I'm not going to watch it.

In the future, when you're choking on the endless smoke everywhere and there's no place that doesn't smell like crap... you'll regret saying what you did.

Easy there. Getting angry at him only makes him stronger.

Besides, Triple-T is very green.

That Robot reminds me of the Portal sentrys. But this movie looks good, I'm going to watch it not because I can giggle at the Portal-like arciteture, and enjoy the genius that the Animated World has needed since The Incredi- HOLY CRAP IT'S MADE BY THE SAME GUYS!!!

This movie shall succeed no matter how many throuts I must shove it down.

I can guarantee you, if you didn't like Incredibles, you won't like this.  And if you didn't like an Inconvenient Truth you won't like this either.
