Birthdays!
« on: September 20, 2005, 07:10:19 pm »
Hey Steve! Is there any way your forum can be set up to recognize forum member's birthdays? Like a list on the day it happens? I've seen it on other forums. I just though it would be neat.

I setup the birthday option. If you don't want your birthday listed you can change your profile and just put in zeros in the date area and nothing will be listed.

Or if you want your birthday listed, but not you age, you can leave just the year blank. Example: LadyM

Yeah, I have to go into the code and take that info out. Right now I'm knee deep in working on the new server which is really taking up all of my free time. For now you might want to just take out your birthday, or make the year much much earlier. ;)

I didn't want the year to show up so I just put in the month and date so it would show on the calender without showing the age. I wasn't complaining... sorry.  I was just using it as an example if anyone else didn't want their age to show but didn't mind their birthday being posted.

Sorry for confusing you Steve, I meant the if you set you birth day like this: 0000 - MM - DD :filling in the month and the day but leavinf the year as 0000, your birthday will still be celebrated, but no one will know your age. Does that clear things up? I was using LadyM as an example of how it works, since that's what she did.

According to my calender, it's not until tomorrow. Silly time zones.

Happy Birthday to all!

Do we have a thread for this?
