I take out a twenty and toss it on the counter, sweeping up a pair of cigars.

"Keep the rest."

I pull out a square lighter and flip it open, sticking the tip of one cigar in the flame. I bring it to my mouth and try a few puffs.

I grimace.

"Better than nothing I suppose. You can expect to see me later about those real cigars."

I recline into a casino sofa, puffing contentedly while waiting for four to roll around.

=The ship has left the bay and is now out at sea=

*finishes up playing a game of solitaire on the ship's computer*

Hydro : "Number One  how are the wind and water conditions?"

Ryan: "Wind Speed: 23, Wind Direction: 180, Water Conditions: A bit choppy now that were out of the bay."

Hydro: "Very Good. Nothing we can't handle, eh Number One?

Ryan: "Aye Capitan."

*brings up the controls on the computer*

*continues captaining the ship*

"Three scotch on the rocks coming down," I called, lifting out three glasses with one hand and a bottle with the other.  Setting them down I crush ice into the glasses before seamlessly filling them with scotch, not spilling even as the ship lurched into motion.  I'd had a long time to practice the not spilling bit and could pour right in a hurricane by now.

As I slid the drinks down I surreptitiously held out a hand for the man's passenger card.  Tips were cash, but anything outside of mealtimes got charged to passenger accounts.  I glance at the newcomer and squint at his name tag, "listen...  Marty, you know the rules.  Crew pays cash up front."

"Right, right..." I said, reaching into my backpocket and handing him the money.

I recklessly step out of a corridor restricted to authorized personnel and murmur to myself.

"Ugh, finally got a chance to leave my post for a bit. They just had to delay the schedule and make me work a whole extra day. Not fair! I only hope the engines don't get screwed up."

I then attend my regular maintenance duties... *snicker* Doodies...

The life boat drill was over, that's always the worst part of the trip. Standing outside in the heat with huge orange life jackets on while the crew stand around in neon green hats acting like they care is just a bit too much. There was still some time before dinner and people were finding their way to the casino bar.

Krakow Sam was on his third drink and he needed some cash to play the slot machines. *punch punch punch*  Great Distance walked by as she was checking out the ship's decor. "Pathetic", she thought as she glanced at Sam.

"Yay!!" yelled Yossi, as the ship pulled away from the berth and out to sea. "Time for a drink!"

Oh look! Vivec is here, he's getting his photograph taken.

Vivec joined Great Distance and Yossitaru at the Sushi Bar outside the dining room. Alwayswatching came out to tell everyone "You must try ze mussels tonight, zey are magnificent!"

*Over the intercom*

"This is your captain speaking. If you would take a look over on the port side of the ship you can see a pod of humpback whales."

"Cherry... Cherry... Come ooon Cherry! .... *****! damn you lemon! wassmatter with this slot machine!?!"

Maybe I'd have better luck if the room wasn't spinning so much... urk... maybe nine scotches wasn't such a good idea. Well, work to back!
Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

"Beautiful, simply beautiful.", I said to myself while watching the pod of whales cruise along the side of the ship.

"Well, better take some photos."

*I bring out my camera*

Steady, steady. There! "It sure was a nice idea to take some time off the lab!"

"Right then," I say, dropping the bills into the slot on the lock box, "one gin and tonic."  I slide the drink down the bar and resumed cleaning the already clean glass.

*Notices that one of the luggages doesn't have a lock and proceeds to open it*

"Haha, there is always the naive one. So ready to trust us."

Inside, there are clothes (including a healthy amount of male underwear), a video camera, a toothbrush, shaving cream, and an electric shaver.

*Takes out a few boxer briefs*

"I imagine he won't be missing these."

*Turns over the luggage, looking for the owner's name*

"Let's see... Oh, there it is: 'Inkling'. That sounds oddly familiar."

*Closes the luggage and takes it to to a random room. Takes out a piece of paper from his pocket. It has the names of each passenger in the boat and their room number*

"Let's see who is staying in this room. Great Distance, eh? I knew they wouldn't care about the missing boxers."

*Walks back to the room where the rest of the luggage is located. On the way, he goes into his room and throws the boxers into a pile.*

'Ok, first I stand in line and watch this guy get his hair stuck in the battery compartment of his digital camera, then I get stuck in another line and end up being one of the last ones on the ship... They call Wednesday hump day... must be the whales. Where's the bar? I need some Jack to get hammered.'

"I wonder if I turn around that chick in red will want to blow my head off.." LOL (burp)

'Alright I checked everything 3 times, nothings missing and everything is in order as it should be.'
I head up the stairs to the bar holding his suitcase with an iron grip.
"Get me a shot of vodka on the rocks."
I said as I sat down on a barstool still holding the suitcase at my side.

"Hello Mr.?"
Finally, someone answered! Now they were going to have to explain this...
"Hello my dear whoever you are. I want to get in contact with Celdar or whatever was the name of that organiser of this trip was!"
"This is Celdur speaking sir." Answered Celdur.
"So THAT is you you pathetic incompetent bastard! I have been on this ship for HOURS, but my lugage still haven't been unpacked and why do I have to share my room with some pathetic looser? Who do you think I am? Britney Spears?"
Huckbuck was furious. Absolutely furious.
