Gaming Steve Sim Cruise - Planning and question thread
« on: March 08, 2008, 11:23:52 am »
Soon I'll be ready to attempt a fourth Sim Story. This one will be different than the others. It will take place on a Cruise Ship and will be part story, part game, part mystery, part role play and be more interactive and hopefully a lot of fun. Those who want to join will need to make a Sim of themselves (unless I already have one). In tradition, I only use Sims that represent forum members. I prefer that they look as much like the real you as possible and they must be an adult sim, even if your not irl. They don't need careers or skills, just a personality that matches your own. The setting for the story will be on an awesome cruise ship that Oviraptor made for me. I'm still decorating it and getting things ready so there is still plenty of time to get your Sim made. The Sims won't be on free will but will be playing out a story that we, as a group create.

Meet the SS Glicker:

Ship is currently in dry dock awaiting the finishing touches for it's maiden voyage.

Added for story:

Pool Deck

Didero Deck

Spore Deck

Inkling Deck

Hydro deck
Cred deck: Off limits

Here is how it will work. Your Sim will be booking a reservation on the SS Glicker for it's maiden voyage. The Sim will either be a passenger or a ship employee so it has a dual role.  On the first day a murder will happen. You will receive pm's from me with information regarding the murder and your possible connection to it. You will be told what you were doing at the time something happened and be given clues to your relationship with others. I will post story updates with photos of the event and photos of other happenings. You can discuss the murder and possible suspects {in character} in the game thread. Give each clues and ask questions. You can lie or tell the truth but in the end, everyone is trying to find out who the killer is and the killer is trying not to get caught. A 24 hr vote will happen after each murder and the Sim with the most votes will be tossed overboard. If you catch your killer, you win!! If not, then the killer is allowed to kill again and it keeps going. The new murder will be shown in story with a new set of clues. Yes, we are having a murder mystery!!

I'm going to have a poll vote open to everyone because I want everyone to be included. You need to convince people to vote for the guilty party. This is still in development so there might be more tweaking to the rules. I don't have an official start date yet but it will probably be April.

Open to anyone including those who have been in past stories. I'm taking the Sims first come first serve and I'll set a temp. limit of 30, that might change. I already know Ovi wants to be in it, so I'll put him on the list first. Danzik already sent a sim and Bodhi contacted me long ago about my next sim game. If you want to be in this, send me your sim, preferably on a lot by email. My email is in my profile. You can also send me a link to your sim page if you have one. If you want to make clothes for your sims with your forum name on it, that would be very helpful to me. I probably won't do it this game as its very time consuming but I prefer if you can do that. I'm using Bon Voyage so please don't send one made with Free Time. Now.. who wants to be in it? I'd like some people I haven't used before too.

I'm in, you've still got mine.
Nefarious?  Nearly.  Ne’er-do-well?  Never!  Neither nearly names this narrator.  Naive and knowledgeable, notorious and inscrutable, this nascent Nero is known naturally as Neoadept.

If you still have mine, I'd like to play, but if you don't, well, I haven't got Sims 2 on my computer so I'm screwed.

That's also a helpful thing, if people could volunteer to help make Sims for others. I don't always have time and they don't always turn out that well. (ask Celdur :P)

As she said, it's not done yet. :P Besides, while we are playing, we wont hardly see the water anyway, cause we'll be inside.
