This is not a topic to bash the president, this is a topic to share your favorite Bushisms. If the topic becomes any more than quotes from the president or comments like "LOL that was a good one" then I will have to lock the topic. That being said, have fun!

"You hear me Americans... it's hammer time!  I tell you, it's hammer time!" - Bush, it went something like that anyway... something hilarious along those lines with "hammer time" in it.

Gore didn't say that. A lot of times people who don't agree with political figures will intentionally misquote them to reduce their credibility. A lot of Bushisms aren't really Bushisms.

I can't imagine why he would say "the problem with the French is that they have no word for 'entrepreneur'."

Oh man, that's hilarious. In his defense, he didn't actually say anything stupid.

It's like on the Daily Show where they showed a clip of Bush being asked a stupid question, and for some reason they made fun of Bush. They also made fun of Bush for saying 9/11 a lot in a speech about 9/11.

Yeah they seem to make fun of stuff thats just really...lame to make fun of.
When he says something like "We liberated Iraq, because we are liberators."
Of course it is a little funny when the same basic arrangement is used throught the speech, like a theme. "We went to war, because we are wariors."
reapeat that arrangement 20 times in your speech, and you look like a moron.

I would like to agree with BROD that this thread was NOT for Bush bashing but for things he says. Just because you do not sound articulate does not mean that you are a moron or in any way stupid. I have very strong political views myself but this is not the place for them.

to clear this up, and to end the going off topicing...nessing...ness...yeah.  They guy didn't know who WW was.  WW's cult came over to set him strait, but he said Wrigh instead of Wright.  He thought they were gonna' linch him.  It was fine to not know who WW was, they would of gladly informed him.  But saying Wright wrong is a capital crime in the cult.  Since they weren't operating legally it was a linching.  So the man was wise because even though he didn't know for sure if he was gonna' be linched, he was supernaturally right.

-that would be a "school grade" quality novel there...Oooooiiii

it could be a Bushism?

Todays is:

Quote

That's right people, a peeance and freeance Iraq.

"Wow! Brazil is big." after being shown a map of Brazil by Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva

"As a matter of fact, I know relations between our governments is good."

"Bin Laden says his own role is to tell Muslims, quote, 'what is good for them and what is not.'" —

"We look forward to hearing your vision, so we can more better do our job. That's what I'm telling you."

"Listen, I want to thank leaders of the — in the faith — faith-based and community-based community for being here."

"So please give cash money to organizations that are directly involved in helping save lives — save the life who had been affected by Hurricane Katrina."

"I can't wait to join you in the joy of welcoming neighbors back into neighborhoods, and small businesses up and running, and cutting those ribbons that somebody is creating new jobs."

"I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep on the soil of a friend."

"I was going to say he's a piece of work, but that might not translate too well. Is that all right, if I call you a 'piece of work'?" to Jean-Claude Juncker, prime minister of Luxembourg

"The relations with, uhh — Europe are important relations, and they've, uhh — because, we do share values. And, they're universal values, they're not American values or, you know — European values, they're universal values. And those values — uhh — being universal, ought to be applied everywhere."

"You see, not only did the attacks help accelerate a recession, the attacks reminded us that we are at war."  on the Sept. 11 attacks
We were at War before the attacks?

"And the second way to defeat the terrorists is to spread freedom. You see, the best way to defeat a society that is — doesn't have hope, a society where people become so angry they're willing to become suiciders, is to spread freedom, is to spread democracy."

"See, in my line of work you got to keep repeating things over and over and over again for the truth to sink in, to kind of catapult the propaganda."

"I think younger workers — first of all, younger workers have been promised benefits the government — promises that have been promised, benefits that we can't keep. That's just the way it is."

It means your own money would grow better than that which the government can make it grow. And that's important."

"I can only speak to myself."

"It's in our country's interests to find those who would do harm to us and get them out of harm's way."

"But Iraq has — have got people there that are willing to kill, and they're hard-nosed killers. And we will work with the Iraqis to secure their future."

"I'm going to spend a lot of time on Social Security. I enjoy it. I enjoy taking on the issue. I guess, it's the Mother in me."

"I'm occasionally reading, I want you to know, in the second term."

          Okay, that's enough for now.

Wow, this makes me realize how long it's been since I was an active user here.

-In response to a question about Native American tribal sovereignty:
"Tribal sovereignty means that, it's sovereign. You're a?you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And, therefore, the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities."?Washington, D.C., Aug. 6, 2004

There is a video clip of this one out there. Absolutely hilarious. Without his advisors, I don't think he can answer real questions by himself.

Wow, this makes me realize how long it's been since I was an active user here.

It would be hard being a president. So he went to the wrong door. I've (unsuccessfully) tried to open many locked doors. And I know you have, too. The guy can't take a **** right...

I don't think it's the fact that he tried to open a locked door...it's the irony of the situation - which was highlighted quite well by those videos.

But still. I heard somebody making fun of him because he blinks too much. Yes, you read that correctly.

I also heard someone with a theory that he rigged both elections and that he's very racist (even though this person has admitted that he's never done or said anything racist, because he's "too clever". Funny how he's clever when he's trying to be a racist, but retarded om all other aspects of life  ::)). She has no evidence to back this up, just some crackpot conspiracy theories. This is what pisses me off more than anything in the world.

I think the blinking thing stems from the psycological studies that people who blink a lot tend to be lying. (no seriously, try it with your friends.)

And hey, don't forget, if Kanye West says George W. Bush hates black people, he must!  ::) ;)
What meme is relevant right now? Look, just imagine I'm riffing on that. Updating signatures is exhausting.

How many hands have I shaked?
They misunderestimate me.

this is my favorite bushism:

http://deoxy.org/forum/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=vox&Number=8599&page=11&view=expanded&sb=6

it worked - almost.  for one week, bush was kept cloistered from the media, when formerly he had been making several appearances a day.  during this time, it's likely his Monarch http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/hardtruth/illuminati_formula_mind_control.htm programming was reinforced.  i saw a single photo from camp david on cnn, he had this look of terrible suffering on his face, and a man was looking at him with a cruel smile.  his movements were very robotic for several months afterwards (since his handlers consider themselves to be engineers) and i still catch snippets where his real personality tries to express itself.  the china video, with the revealing "i was trying to escape" is just another example of this.

they were trying to save him dumbass.  it worked well enough that he had to be withdrawn from the public eye to be reprogrammed.
