Anyone out there getting a PSP this week? What games are you getting with it? There are actually quite a few good ones being released.

Plan on it. Wednesday night 12:00 at Wally World. Still have not decided on games yet. I heard wipeout will have new tracks every month or so to download. I am a big Fifa fan though so Im sure I will grab that. Hope I can play that over the web. Other than that i can not wait........

My money-meats don't agree with this game. Between eating, buying games, and saving for college, I just don't have enough to get one of 'em. I might look around the house and see what I can trade in or pawn.

Hmmm... in order to slip it past the wife, I'll have to buy it as a birthday present for the baby and "hold on to it for him"... :)

It would be the second most expensive thing I've ever bought, the first being my car...and that was $650.00.

I just picked my PSP up.  ;D It came with Spiderman2 and a Demo disk with music Videos, and some video clips of the games to be released. (I was hoping for playable Demos.  >:( ) So I have the system with no games!  :(

I would like to get one, but, like Scipion, I'm kind of short on cash at the moment.
Why do you park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?

Wouldn't touch one with a barge pole if i'm quite honest.  You may as well get a PS2 - as for portability, what happens if you lose it?  Are there any compensation claims or whatever?  Or are you basically screwed out of $250?  But maybe it's just my philosophy that the time for gaming is at home, and the time for working/socialising is for outside the home.

I don't have all that much money to spend on games, so eventually it'll have to come down to either the DS or the PSP, for me.

...but I'm going to wait quite awhile. Both of the systems have a pitiful amount of games for them right now. Of course, the PSP has a much better variety of games right now. Even though it was released four months after the DS. Heh. But I'm definitely going to see which system ends up with more better games.

And then there are these rumors about a new GameBoy being released later this year...which I think is definitely plausible. I agree with whoever it was who said that the DS was released just to try and stem the tide of the PSP before they released the real killer. It seems to fit. Nintendo has said that the DS isn't a successor to the GBA, but rather a companion. But that's silly. Why would a company want more then one portable system? That also fits in with the fact that there weren't any amazing launch titles. And from what I've read, it doesn't look like any are coming up. Where's the killer app? Well, the thing still sold very very well. Enough to keep Nintendo still in the handheld area before they release this mysterious sucessor to the GBA...if that IS the case, and the DS WAS just a "placeholder" then this new GameBoy had better be pretty darn special.

I'm with Janos. My last portable was a GBA:SP, and I never played the thing. I get out of my house when I feel the need to stop gaming. ;)

Well, there's school, getting food, haircuts, and meeting up with friends who are too lazy/intelligent to drive all the way to my house and play games with me. ;D
