The Game Developers Conference has come to an end and I've put together a fantastic roundtable to recap the show.

Finally got a chance to listen to this podcast.

Great podcast. Was playing RuneScape while Steve mentioned the people who listen to the podcast while playing MMO's.

I was thinking about the repetitiveness of music in RuneScape itself. They recently released an Audio Update. Songs will play all the way through instead of changing every time you leave the small area that music was set to so you're not always hearing the beginning of songs. Also, if you have been playing in a particular area for an extended period of time, instead of looping the music for the zone you're in, they play different music tracks of areas similar to the one you're in.

So if you're in a swamp with a sort of gloomy music, after the music track plays through, it might switch to the theme of the nearby ghost town. Well, better than the same track over and over.

I tested that game that only 1 person had designed and it was decent. The feel was different from other MMO's but it was just a new look for the same old grinding.
