I remember hearing something about plants being user-designable...

We saw no forests. It was all kind of scrubby - intermittant bushes and trees. Planets will probably have differing layouts - as to where their mountains are and such - but I don't know about different kinds of environments other than 'dead' and 'normal'.

There has been NO indication you can design plants. Just a lot of people hoping.

I believe it was actually mentioned in the demo (reiterated through the first podcast).

I don't remember that. I may have forgotten it, but I think I would have remembered something like that, because I remember THINKING about it during the demo.

It would only make sense if there were different kinds as they've even stated that there will be waterworlds. Take that and add in the fact that Will Wright has gone the extra distance to include all kinds of cosmic features such as nebula, black holes, etc, one can safely assume that varying types of planets will be available as well.

On that, wouldnt it be cool if the sky color was different in planets located inside nebulae? Especially during nighttime, it would be a spectacle.

I see planets & systems as being fairly unique. After all, in the 'demo', Wright destroyed a planet, creating an asteroid belt. I see no reason why a comet couldn't come hurtling through your system (with sexy gfx consequences).

I looked through the FAQ but i saw nothing about what platforms/systems spore will be on.
I know that its fairly obvious its definitly on the computer, but not to some people who may read the FAQ.
I also know that at the moment their is no %100 percent way of knowing whether or not spore is on anything besides the computer, but if steve trusts his source then he should probably put something about the xbox 360 in, in blue.

I know the perfect place to fit it in:

Q. What will the system requirements be?
A. Unknown at this time.

My idea is just change it to:
Q. What will the system requirements be?
A. Wright showed the game using a computer so logically you're required to have a computer, but all other system requirements are Unknown at this time. Though a reliable source has said that the game is also being developed for the the Xbox 360.

Hey all,

After I put up my podcast and notes about my meeting with Will I can 100% promise you that the FAQ is going to grow quite a bit, perhaps double in size as we'll all know quite a bit more about the game. I would like to update the "official" Spore FAQ to reflect these new changes and I am requesting some help in creating the updated FAQ. You guys all did such a fantastic job with the first FAQ I'm sure you will do a great job with the updates as well.

So those of you who helped out the first time around (and those who want to help out now) get ready because you're going to a lot more info in a little while!
