Be glad you guys aren't on the underdeveloped world, some games don't even show up here. I hope the "worldwide" september release really means worldwide...
I'm hoping that the EA downloader will have Spore in it. Furthermore, usable from all over the world.

They Should Just release it Online At 12am Sept 5 German Time worldwide. With a 24h of preload time. And later , like on the 7th, have a retail global release. That way everyone gets it exactly at the same time.

This doesn't make a ton of sense to me. If it's only two days, why bother? Why not just give the American stores their copies a little earlier or (worst case scenario), tell the European stores not to sell theirs for two more days, then brag a universal release? If Europe were a priority, it doesn't seem like 2 days does it any justice.

And Europeans, don't feel like Americans are whining because of this. We know you guys consistently get shafted on games, we're just messing around with this. Two days is nothing, really.

True, even if they are open, they're open for probably Half the usual hours. Most places on the large shopping areas are open but for a few hours on a sunday.
Games in the UK are always released on a Friday. Same with Films at the Cenema. DVD's are released on Mondays.
So if US release new games on a Sunday and EU Friday...

I think the retail "monsters" here(Portugal) are open all weekend and all week but during the weekends it's waaaay to many people. I like this release date, on a Friday. I can get up early, get the game and then go to work :P

So if US release new games on a Sunday and EU Friday...

Most of the releases over here are on Tuesday due to shipping times and such.  Sunday is kind of a 'special event'.  Regardless, I'm sure it's because of the difference in retail hours.

I'm looking forward to all of the great content that will come from our European Sporon brethren that I'll be able to see right away in my game! :D

Finally, the EU gets a game first. Though I fear EA goes for the same countries Microsoft went for: UK, Ireland, France, and Germany, and call it "Europe", now that would piss me off. Especially considering the Dutch tend to have a good to very good English-speaking capability.
