Cartoon Classics.
« on: February 02, 2008, 01:48:37 pm »
Well I don't expect this thread to last long so here it goes...

As most of us know cartoons were made for our enjoyment, and from the beginning the classics are what we've been stuck with. Not that classics are bad but they were the most abundant during the 1970's to 90's eras. And most of us know that classics are are eventually replaced with newer (and usually crappier) cartoons and are usually never to be seen again.

So I made this topic just so the rest of you can list the old cartoons you used to watch. Don't worry it doesn't matter what part of the world you are from just list some classics, link some from youtube, wikipedia, etc. As long as its SFW go right ahead, if you don't watch TV in general than don't bother posting.

well hey, my thread didn't last long either. I just had to accept the fact that my thread wasn't getting around anywhere. BTW, I didn't own myself or burn myself if that's what you're thinking you little bastard. Anyway, got advice about my thread, or see what the moderators would say about it?

Hehehe, Dragon Flies. I still have those zipline toys that riddled little holes in my old room.

Also, as I said in another thread, Samurai Jack was a good show. (Best episode was the blind archers)

Reboot was actually very good considering its age, but never the less was a hit. And as for Shadow Raiders I never had the chance to watch that, same goes with Dragon Flies.

Oh, wow, Reboot...
I have a collection of toys from that show =D

The original Cartoon-Cartoons were pretty awesome, at least until you'd seen them for the 20th time.
Dexter's lab and 2 stupid dogs were epic.

Does anyone remember Sheep in the (big?) City? I think it was acctually quite recent compared to cartoon-cartoons, but I still think of it as being in my childhood...

Also, anyone remember -and this will probably be a no if the majority of people I know irl are anything to go by- Family Ness or Poddington Peas?
Those shows stick with me if just for the themetunes...

And that fire safty video/film with that firefly that accidently sets his whole village on fire...

LOL, to bad we had nothing like that in the LA area. All we got was a fat police man telling us not to use drugs...

Samuai Jack was cool but almost too recent still I gues it was an instant classic.

Going back to being a Kid There is always Duck Tales, Chip and Dale rescue rangers, obviously TMNT, Pinky and the Brain, Earthworm Jim, Ahhh real monsters, Rocko's modern life.
