Not to get into a protacted debate about Sun Tzu vs. Caesar, but Caesar's works are an advanced course to Sun Tzu's "War 101".  The Art of War is a textbook dealing with the basic understanding of tactics and strategy that make for a successful battle. pick terrain well, know your enemy, attack where they're weak, etc etc etc. Caesar's work relays the conquest of a country and then an Empire, with everythign from politics to one of the first under-fire amphibious invasions in history.
