I've decided to install this on my laptop so I can play it while at school, but I have to say it either doesn't like Vista or it doesn't like the current driver for my video card, because anything that is a 2D overlay is horribly messed up, including the words "Evil Genius" on the title screen.

It's probably due to this being a laptop then, and if it's my video drivers, that's a real pain to downgrade.

Evil genius was a pretty good game, nice style, and the gameplay wasnt spectacular but solid enough.

No, no, he did. In the everything else section, at least. Officially, this makes him king.

On eBay the game seems to go for about $12. That's not too expensive, you could consider buying it again if you really like it.

It was a cool game, played it alot.

But.. it gets to hard in the end with the super agents. I never got around to finding out how to kill an agent, and they would escape and destroy my base so.. gave up.

I suppose it's funny that you posted after me, because you are also female.  How coincidental.

You must have never made it to the second island, since as soon as you do, you'll have the chance to permanently remove Marriana Mamba, and then the others in turn. As far as keeping them under control, I've never had an issue with the first three just with beating them to a pulp if they escape, and keep them on a rotation of interrogations as much as I can. For Masters and Steele, I always go to yellow alert until they are escorted off the island.

Yes I did.

Had like 8 machineguns in the front killing agents.. but that was not enough.

Wait, you mean the non-special agents? You shouldn't be killing them, you'll just raise your heat. Tag them for psychological weakening instead. If they leave with the blue ring, your heat will lower and you won't see as many agents. If I understand what you're saying, you're just killing people left and right, and those body bags will causes even more heat on top of the heat from taking damage. If I need to kill a normal agent, I always put them in a cell first, that way I can put the body bag directly into a freezer without having to worry about anyone seeing it.

Well, your best bet is to look in a bargain bin/used games/eBay, since the company that developed the game folded in 2005, less than a year after the game came out.
