One hundred dollars and nothing to buy.
« on: October 30, 2007, 06:07:02 pm »
Recently (Read: Today) I won 100 simoleons in a contest at my school, and I was wondering what I should spend it on. I've already narrowed it down to games, and I am leaning towards Bioshock and The Orange Box, but I want to know what you guys would recommend. Much thanks in advance.

P.S. The spell check recognized Bioshock as a word. Wow!

I'm guessing you have a 360. Bioshock is good, you might want to save some of that moo-laa for Mass Effect coming out next month. I'm also getting a lot of game from Halo 3.

I have a Wii too, and I'm getting Mass Effect as a belated B-Day present. Also, my brother is a Halo 3 fiend, but I don't like it. Not to sound spoiled.  ;D

Orange Box probably delivers the most play for dollar.
Also, if you've never played HL2, it's amazing.

Bioshock is good for three, maybe two runs.
It's still really good though.

Well then Bioshock and that orange box should be good. Now that i think of it, The new Call of Duty sounds like it will be great.

Oh yeah, that new CoD.

P.S. I've tried to play HL2 on my PC, but I could never really get into it. But I'll try the orange box. Or maybe not.

[grunt voice] hieratic! hieratic! [grunt voice]

actually, I face a similar decision:

bio-shock, mass effect (those two names have a similar feel for some reason) or orange box, CoD, and those other good new releases.
maybe I should just blow it all and buy all of them.

EDIT: also, I notice these are mostly shooters. not that those arent good, but...

Definetly go with Orange Box.  It has the most replayability.  You might wanna get gmod as well.  That game never gets old.

It's too close to Christmas. Any good RPGs out there? (Besides Oblivion + Mass Effect)

Spore! Better put it in a savings account though, by the time you'll need to take it out to buy Spore, it'll have accumulated a helluva lot of interest.  :P
