Final Destination

There's nothing else on and I saw this, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I usually don't like horror movies though, so its anyone's bet how long until I get squeemish and turn it off.

Final Destination is a good movie that makes fun of itself. It is a great collection of movie cliche's and goes together well.

#2 is OK, but more or less the same thing.

#3 is only for the gore, not worth the time.

"Drop *&&*ing dead." *Is hit by a bus* Best line ever.
I watched all of them.
spoilers!
In the first one the low buget was okay, I got scared a few times and I still flinch. the second was awesome as well, I loved the part where kat's airbag rams her head into the pole. I also love the bit where the hospital blows and Isaac and that other girl dies. She should have stayed in the asylum. but the trird was best. when the car engine saws into frankie's head was good, and when the blade did a final spin to show his brain, I nearly died!
SPOILERS END HERE!

That's basically my feeling on it. Even the gore isn't that great

when it comes to FD there's two majour groups of people

Those who rate the first the best and last the worst,
and those who rate the last the best and first the worst.

I fall into the first group. I watched the original when it was released (so I was, what, 8?) and fell in love with it. The low budget aspect still does it for me, and the bit with the train ^^. The second one is definatly worth watching, and is a nice twist on the original, but not as good - far more predictable imo. the way to stop death, whilst seemingly generic and cliche', is still very nicely explained, and it makes perfect sense. At least, when you first hear it.

The third was worst, mostly because for the most part it does away with the actual idea behind the first and second, the deaths were *very* predictable, where as with the first and second you knew it wasn't gonna be quite what you expected, the third one basicly tells you what's gonna happen, and the fact that the film was basically an excuse for lots of gore and a chance to go watch two naked blonde chicks in public without getting called a pervert.

One of the main problems is that the new element it introduces practically dosn't fit *at all* with the original films. Very un-cannon.

With any of the films, the best bit is the start sequence where everything goes wrong. The first one is credited as one of the most realistic plane crashes ever, and took more than half of the budget of the whole film. The second one is just immense, especially with the ammount of deaths actually featured in it. The bit with the coffee was inspired. Still makes me cringe. The third one's rollercoaster was verrrry nicely done. I'm scared of coasters as it is.

and the first death scene is always the longest. the second is always about 3 seconds if gore and 2 minutes of scary music and the plot talk.

That is one of the things that makes me love the movies. No happy ending :P

The kid getting crushed by the glass was so unrealistic though.

Yeah, When I saw it he turned red before the glass hit. but 1 had two survivers who stayed alive until one (Alex) had forgot and was killed by a brick and the other forgot in the film and died in the explosion.

I meant more the glass crushing him to the ground like that, you'd think it'd smash instead of doing...what it did.

Yeah...even so, he wouldn't become a bloody puddle, people have bones you know, and bones are very hardy...you'd be surprised at the force it takes to destroy one downright.

Well I finished the first one. Loved it. I was part way through the second one and it was getting late so I turned it off and went to bed. I don't intend to watch the third one; I liked the storyline of the movies and I don't at all care for gore.

watch it. It has a few minor plot twists and is a lot better in effects.
