Pushing Daisies
« on: October 23, 2007, 03:43:46 pm »
An interesting new show on ABC. I happened to watch it over the weekend and it was pretty interesting. The main character has the ability to touch a dead person and they will come back to life. If he touches them again, they are dead forever. He can't let them live again for longer than one minute or someone else will die instead. The story was pretty amusing, he works as a pie man and the local detective knows about his powers and he helps figure out crime cases. It's not a morbid show though, it's humorous and fun to follow. I came home and set my Tivo to record it weekly. (Wed. nites)

I watched this today, it is pretty amusing. This was my first episode though, and from what I figured is that if he doesn't touch someone within 1 minute someone else dies instead. Like the bird that died in todays episode. My only question is who died then when he didn't touch the girl he's in love with a second time?

The funeral manager. Yeah, I happen to watch the show as well. It's interesting to see a tim burton-ish show full of dark comedy.

One thing that bothers me something that my girlfriend pointed out, is that the guy always has a stupid grin on his face when ever he sees the dead girl. I might not have noticed if she didn't point it out to me, now all I see is that grin.

I still have some episodes on Tivo but it's interesting how twisted it gets. Turns out Ned killed "Chuck's" father in order to save his mother. Not on purpose but part of his power.

I think the narration really adds to the "storytale" aspect. Oh there was another twist too. Lily is really Chuck's mother.

I think I missed a couple. The last episode I remember was the won that LadyM just described. With the twisting.
