Topic: The all-new favourite genre thread!

If your favorite genre isn't in there, just post here and tell me what it is and I will gladly update it. Just don't get too specific. I don't want to have 50 categories like "Country from the 1950's by male artists." Chances are that with 13 and counting categories of music, something very similar will be on there. If it's really a mainstream genre and I just forgot it, then post and I'll update.

I voted Jazz. There are so many branches off of jazz (blues, swing, ragtime, etc...) It's my favorite.

You should check out Katie Melua and Jamie Cullum - they're both great if you like Jazz.  They're more modern than most other Jazz artists.

And Bob, that's like an oxymoron right there. They should create a new genre called Metaljazz or Jazzel. That combines the double bass drumming, jazz's soft vocals, brilliant baselines carrying the melody, with 2 guitars doing harmonic solos.

It would be kickin rad.
