No, thats what it looked like, not really blood red but a little more orangy. I didn't know it would have that kind of guts either.

Ok, this happened literally just now.

I'm sitting at my computer and happen to look over at the window, and what do I see?

A stinkbug crawling up my blinds!

Want to see a closeup?

I know you did.

Well, I didn't want to smash a stinkbug into my window, so I escorted him outside, where he had a brief encounter with my shoe.  As always, the obligatory quarter for scale.

Probably not a Goat, either.

What a battle!

You seem to have quite a few encounters. Should you feel worried that there must be a source of these foul monsters?

I once almost grabbed a Brown Recluse when I was playing in a pile of sharp pieces of wood.  If you didn't know, the Brown Recluse is one of the only 2 deadly spiders in Canada, along with the Black Widow.

As for a more reccent encounter, my basement, where my computer is situated, seems to be having some severe problems with spiders.  I'll just be gaming and then see something in my perripheral vision.  It's a spider, comming down on a thread, inches from my face.  And these spiders are pretty decent sized.  Anyway, they piss me off and get a swift kleenex to the face before I award them a one-way trip to the garbage can.

This has happend like 12 times now.

A spider almost the size of my palm fell on my mom's shoulder once. I didn't even know they GOT that big in Kentucky!  :-X

Do you live near a port or an airfield or something?

A nuclear plant perhaps?

Sooner or later one of these giant cave bugs you talk so much about is gonna get you! And it ain't gonna be pretty (especially if your skin goes all funky then dies).

But so far so good, good job on the unnecessary insecticide (you won't believe how much I laughed at that man).

Yannick:  I'm thinking I'm around level 3.  Actually, I take that back.  Due to years of attacking fire ant hills, I'm probably closer to level 10.

Brutus: He had it coming for trespassing.  If I was feeling really mean I could've taken him down to one of said fire ant hills outside and thrown him in.

Croccer: There is an airport and a nuclear plant in town, but i'm pretty sure these things are just coming in for the winter.  That, and a dorm room is probably a perfect environment for bugs, except for me killing them.
Probably not a Goat, either.

I don't think you'll be getting mutated bugs anyways, generally when something is exposed to sufficient quantities of ionizing radiation it dies a slow and painful (horrible, horrible) death!

That and nuclear power plants are unbelievably safe, Chernobyl was a one off, freak accident caused mainly by bad engineering.

Oh, I have several relatives who are nuclear engineers, so I know how safe nuclear plants are.  Plus, these bugs have all been well within natural sizes.  If I was finding bugs a foot long, then I would be worried.

That's good :)

And if you were finding foot long bugs I'd suggest you start looking near by for people with an interest in genetics, damn genetic engineers, it's only a matter of time before they start giving sharks legs >:(!

... I'm fairly sure a swift swing of an axe will solve that problem.
