Great thread! I currently listen to Steve, TWiT, Major Nelson, DiggNation, Engadget and PC Gamer. Looking forward to trying out the recommendations!

I also listen to Gamespot's podcast, The HotSpot. http://www.gamespot.com/podcast/podcast.xml

IMHO, there is no podcast that matches Steve's, but PC Gamer and Gamespot come close, IMHO.  I used to listen to the Yankidank guys, but quite frankly I found them to be amateurish and they often seemed to talk about uninteresting stuff.

Gaming podcasts I have heard:

Gaming Steve: 4 stars -- of course! smart commentary and inside info
PC Gamer: 4 stars -- also some smart commentary
1UP.com TV Podcasts: 4 stars -- the newer espisodes are fun and I like the various editors
Gamers With Jobs Radio: 3 stars -- occasionally funny
1UP.com Radio Podcasts: 2 stars -- boring, just reading news
EQ2-Daily.com podcast: 2 stars -- not really interesting, just listen cause I love EQ2

So far the only ones I listen to are Gaming Steve, Major Neslon (http://www.majornelson.com) and The Video Games Show (http://www.videogamesshow.com/)

Major Nelson is great if you are an Xbox or Xbox 360 fan, or both.  He always has great interviews and all the info you would need.  The Video Games Show is nice also.  It's usually only an hour so their gaming reviews get a bit short.  But the viewer mail and news is what I listen to it for.

I'll have to check out some of the ones you suggested.  MyMP3 player is going to end up turning into a podcast player instead of a music player.  I don't listen to music much on it anymore.  :(
Currently playing: Perfect Dark Zero, Golden Sun, Half Life 2

1UP has a podcast, it is nothing compared to Steve's and they are only 10-15 min. long, but they fill in the gaps waitings for Steve's podcasts.  ;D

Their video podcast (the 1up show) is much better than the audio version.

A nice video compliment to the Gaming Steve audio podcast. :)

Up to now - I've only listen to two podcasts. 1.) Steve's (of course) and one that has not been mentioned yet.... probably because it's NOT a podcast (yet). I'm referring to RetroGame Radio. It's monthly broadcast and it's going on it's 7th year (wow).    Shane R. Monroe - the host, does remind me of Steve a bit - very knowledgeable, insightful and entertaining.  I would say however, that Shane may be a bit "AM" (Anti-Microsoft) - in turn he may not always give Xbox or it's games a fair shake.  I can look past that and still do enjoy his shows. Go to www.retrogameradio.com download the mp3.file and listen to at your leisure.

These are not directly podcasts....they are live shows with downloadable archives.

Epileptic Gaming at www.radioitg.com (Friday evenings....but very irregular lately. Due back around end of January...probably...with video!)

.pxl at www.radioitg.com - one of the original Epileptic Gaming hosts split and did his own thing. Usually Thursdays.

The Bridger & Harlock Show at www.tsncentral.com - TSN is the original home of Epileptic Gaming. Comes on Saturday evenings.  I haven't seen archives for this show in a long time, unfortunately.

Both Radio iTG and The Team Sportscast Network (TSN) do game commentary for clan matchups, pro gaming, and sometimes just for fun. The Epileptic Gaming forum is where I found out about Gaming Steve :)

I'm only listening to three Gaming PodCasts atm. I just don't have enough time to listen to more.
1. GamingSteve ;)
2. VideoGamesNewsRadio - Kinda funny, the casual hardcore gamers ;) Those three guys aren't really well informed, but they represent the mainstream gamer and I think it is interesting to hear about that.
3. http://www.4colorrebellion.com/ - I'm kinda disappointed that nobody mentioned this PodCast, because imho, it's one of the best around. Up to par with Steve's. Yeah it's Nintendo-centric/only, but the comments are intelligent, the roundtable they have every week is funny, they are from all over the world (one segment is called Rebel in Japan, fantastic stuff) and they even have fantastic music. Highly recommended.

Maybe I missed it, but I haven't seen anyone mention ShortAttentionGamer, hosted by Todd and Matt. I think these guys are really funny and do a great tag-team blogcast. They are both married, Todd has kids, so they try to focus on games that don't take 1000 hours to finish.
