Name: Henry Black
Age: 20
Nationality: American (Irish heritage)
Profession: Military (Whatever particular job is up to you haseri)
Bio: Henry's family was a multi-generational military family, with even his ancestors in Ireland having fought and lead wars. The moment he was out of high school, he went straight to the military, and through boot-camp. Eventually, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time to be assigned to the ship.

So, how would a military one start off?

Maybe you've been hired on as a security guard or maybe he's manning the slop bucket. He could be one of the lottery winners or maybe the military sent him.

It could be any reason. Why did you join the RP? You must have had something in mind, right?

I figured it would be a bit unique, especially when they've made their landing.

Sure you can all join.

Here is some backstory on how we get to Ymir.
Taken from the Idiots Guide to What's Going On.
It all began when the first Terran probe reached Pluto, it found a new element on it. It should have had a half-life of mere microseconds, but he stayed as it was. This was because it emiited a plume of time-dilation, meaning everything inside the plume moved many times slower than outside. It also makes anything inside the plume travel faster than light, but with no effect within. This plume can be increased by simply by passing electricity through it.

Unfortuenately, the skin of the plume is highly radioactive, when it is at full strength. Not testing this caused the second Cheyrnoble disaster, and re-awakned Cher, who was buried in there because she shared a name, and nobody elce wanted her. Thankfully she was shot and thrown in the deepest part of the ocean before she could do her comeback tour.

Cher aside, this means the 'Warp' drive, as it has been come to known as, is not allowed to be swiched on near any planet, settled or not.

This is why we have to go past the Oort Cloud to engage. It also takes time to charge up.

Ah... try to keep your witty bits of humor out, it makes me wonder if I should keep playing. :)

Oh, rule of thumb for you all, no Out of Character (OoC) talk in the RP, do all of it in this topic only.

Heh, sorry, I can't help it. One of my favourite books is Hitchhikers. I'll try to keep the humour to the minimum.

Anyway, Snake, the Military on board are like police. They are told to use their tasers first, then shoot if the situation becomes out of hand. We also have several military vehicles on board.

K. I would assume he'd simply patrol then?

Just out of curiosity, what allows for gravity on the ship?  Is it a standard high rotation speed supplying enough centrifugal force to simulate gravity and the "floor" is situated along the ships sides, is the floor along the ships axis with gravity simulated by the ship accelerating at a continual 9.8 meters per second2, or is there a futuristic gravity generator, perhaps an offshoot of warp technology?  (I suggest the last one, since warp created by gravity distorting space is better than your entirely nonsensical explanation, and still leaves a plausible reason not to use it near a pre-existing gravity field.)
Nefarious?  Nearly.  Ne’er-do-well?  Never!  Neither nearly names this narrator.  Naive and knowledgeable, notorious and inscrutable, this nascent Nero is known naturally as Neoadept.

Yes, the last one. The first one is used for space stations where it would be dangerous to have the plume, so they used a gravity disortion from the pume on the ship.

I forgot to tell you the name of this element. It's official name is Ununseptium, but NASA engineers call it dilithium in homage to the classic Earth TV show Star Treck.

I take it the park is where our characters will meet? Or is that too early?
