A Dog's Breakfast.

I got to see a special screening with David Hewlett and a few other actors. I personally liked it. I thought it was quite funny. It was well done horror-comedy. Unless someone got to see it at a festival or special screening I'll wait until it's released on DVD (The 18th I think) before I post any spoilers. Needless to say if you are a fan of Stargate or Stargate:Atlantis as the obvious use of the actors. (It's an indie movie, and they would work for free  :P )

The thing about watching a movie when actors/directors of said movie are in the theatre you tend to laugh more often then you might normally. Not judging it on the constant laughing of the crowd, I'd say it's good. I guess movies are subjective though, what I might find good someone else might hate and someone else might find great. I'd say it's good leaning towards great, especially for an indie film. Which I think is something you have to keep in mind.

Any particular reason why it seems to have half the cast of Stargate Atlantis?

Any particular reason why it seems to have half the cast of Stargate Atlantis?

The way filming of the Stargate series  goes, they take a hiatus for a few months. The movie was filmed during the hiatus. David Hewlett approached some of the members of the cast and asked if they would act in it since they weren't doing anything else. They said sure, so he got experienced actors for free. They also got to use Stargate: Atlantis' HD cameras since they weren't being used.
