Interesting find.

A clan mate by the name of Shift is pretty big fan of the game. I played the trial before but he let me try it for a month. After the month ended, I'd racked up 70 hours of gaming. I quit and never looked back. It's just too addictive; between skill changes and space battle. Plus the controls are very restrictively boring and the missions are repeated. PVP is "rumored" to be good but it takes alot more time and dedication. It is fun but I after awhile without playing I no longer wanted to play it. Giving it up was kind of like giving up an addiction. Same goes for navyfield.

So I decided to get back into EVE for a while and I am trying to see if I can get a buddy of mine to try the game so we can mine. Anyone here play?  If you guys are interested I'd like to team up with any other miners to get some mining ops going for the increased profit :P. I am working toward an ORE tier 1 ship right now and am ready to haul with my Iteron II.

So if anyone is interested just post in here and we can trade character names and all that.

you might try hiring some escorts... miners are a pretty big target on EVE.

I haven't hit unsecure space yet.  Just been regaining my bearings and mining the secure belts until I can find a group to play with.

Yea, I play (formerly, I made the thread.  :P)... I'll have to renew my subscription and bring in my Brutix to help though (I don't mind much).

Wouldn't mind the help but I am pretty much a noob so I dont have much besides my Iteron II and Catalyst so don't throw in some cash just for me. :P

Yea, I'll probably wait for trinity (too... cool... for... school...), but then I'll bring in the big boys and we'll go out and mine the good stuff.

I've always wanted to try this game, but I don't have the internet on my personal computer and I'm too stingy to pay the fee.

No, I actually wouldn't suggest the trial for EVE. For most MMOs trials are hard to get a feel for the game, but EVE changes by leaps and bounds after getting good enough. This amount of time doesn't let you go to 0.0 space and really do anything, and everything in EVE happens in 0.0 space. You can't even get a feel of being a pure crafter because traiing takes so long.

Well it is just at trial to get a taste of the game.  I do agree that it is very limiting since you can't train certain skills or even do certain things like transferring money to other players without being in the same station.  However to be fair I enjoyed the game so much during the trial I didn't want to wait for it to finish and then buy it because I wanted to train the non-trial stuff immediately.
