Coach isn't over optimistic, he is trying to motivate the group.

And Louis has a healthy amount of optimism, he just seems exaggerated because Francis is like his total counterpart.

Ellis is just plain crazy though.

? Ellis is the most sane of them all. Louis and Coach are the real mental ward-worthy guys though.

Ellis thinks he once escaped from a burning hotel with his friend Keith :P

Sam is basically right, he's just cranky.

Yeah, he's actually completely sane, except that when he was escaping out of his treehouse after setting fire to it, he got hit on the head by a wooden log. So he kind of remembers things wrong.

Ellis has an imaginary friend FFS.
There is, of course, a difference between having a laugh with someone, and having a laugh at their expense

Well, yeah, that's cause he remembers Baby Francis wrong.  :-X

Nah, over-optimism is a sign of insanity in these conditions.

@Louis, Ellis, and Coach.

So you expect everyone during a zombie apocalypse to act in a vain and negative manner, and THAT'S what you define as sane? Get real. Not every person is going to follow that formula, obviously; have you even considered the background of said characters?

Yeah, because a guy that used to have a day job in the office with some minor shooting skills and a retired football coach who cheers on for victory in even dire conditions are ward worthy.
Kid: Oh wow I'm being deflowered by a grown woman!
Mother: By the way I'm your mother
Kid: OH GOD NO

EDIT: That's where it becomes rape if you were wondering.

Coach is employed as his job to motivate and push a team through to victory he sees that the skills he used as a football coach have applications to get the group through to live and fight another day. Even when his team is down by 6 goals a good coach isn't going to say well this is hopeless how about we just go home now. He keep the teams spirits up makes sure they don't drop their heads victory may be out of reach but he makes sure a good team keep fighting.

Louis was always a glass half full type of guy he isn't crazy over optimistic although he probably exaggerates it as a counter point to Francis. Heck even Francis probably over plays his negativity once again to play off Louis proving each other wrong keeps them going.

Hey, is anyone up for some GamingSteve L4D2 game sometime?

Just talked to Rys and we both think it's the thing to do. (Shut up rys, you think it's a good idea. Period.)

People should stop using timezones as excuses. They are just an invention made by the government to cover up the fact that the earth is flat.
