I just got done with ROBOTA. It was an okay read, but the writing was... wierd. Like it had been translated from another language without bothering to actually make it understandable for Americans. I got the general gist of it, but it was confusing. Thankfully, it was one of those books with full-page paintings to show what's happening, so I understood it well enough. >_>

Also, I read a book called Gnomes. It's sort of a guidebook on Gnomes (not those wussy DnD Gnomes, I mean full fledged Lawn Gnomes!), their habits, their relationships, ancient primitive Gnomes, the reason why they wear their giant cone hats, even why they shake their head alot. Has some artistic nudity, nothing bad though. Not nearly as bad as some of the stuff Picasso did, and many other older artists. But, anyway, it was funny in an odd, scientific way.

As a side note, until I read this book, I had no idea that there were evil, Siberian Gnomes.

Oh!  I have that book!

Is it the one where the gnomes have red hats and blue clothes?

Yup! Good book, aint it?

Where can you actually buy Isaac Asimov today?

I have resorted to reading books summaries on wikipedia.

You are in luck my good man, for you live in Ireland.

May I introduce you to Play.com. A great online shop with lots of books and free shipping on all wares. I recently purchased The Complete Robot (a almost complete collection of Asimov's Robot stories) and The Complete Stories by Isaac Asimov (volume 2, it doesn't say on the site but it is).

I have bought many products from their site, and I gotta say I am very happy with it. They deliver within a couple of days (despite the fact that I live in Denmark) and when they don't you can simply inform them and you get a new copy within a few days.

I've heard of that, and heard it was good, but can't remember what it was about...

Finished "The Brief Wondrous Life of Stephen Wao" by Junot Diaz a while ago. Read "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho(?) yesterday. And I'm dredging through "Anna Karenina" by Leo Tolstoy to put me asleep.  :D

I am reading the Alex Rider series.

A teenage James Bond. They are pretty good.

I've read them all.

Heh, I find it funny how in The Ringworld Engineers, even after the Hindmost has come outa it's weird nervous break down defencive position thingy, once given a good argument why Louis should be in control he just agrees :D

It seems that Niven hadn't a clue what he was doing when he wrote this though, Louis decides on one thing, and 4 chapters later he's changed his mine 7 or 8 times :D. Still a great book though.
