Mobile GAMING?!
« on: August 06, 2007, 08:56:52 pm »
I just got a new Samsung SCHu-740 through Verizon, and was I surprised when I found out I could download games on the thing! I always though the likes of Snake and poker were the limits of cell phones, but after downloading Might and Magic, Sims 2, Path of a Warrior, and other, I was proven wrong. Though they may be shorter and less flashy than their handheld brethren, they're still pretty fun. There is a lot of potential. Perhaps one day mobile gaming and handheld gaming will be one. Or maybe Spore will come out before Christmas.

But who can say? I know I'd pay good money for a Nintendo brand gaming smart phone.

I say NO! to all limits.
Unfortunately, I don't think we're far enough into the Civ stage to have deveoped into the 'Infinite-ghz processing' research tree yet...

DS mobile? Sounds neat but knowing Nintendo I think they should stick to what they know best. I'm pretty sure they'd agree with me.

This gives me a good idea. WiiWorld:Another one of the channels that comes with it is a phone that can call normal phones and receive normal calls. And it can also E-Mail using the Internet Channel.

That's pretty pointless. There's a reason they're called moblie phones.

And you can already email people with the Wii message board.

Where are the iPhone games? That multi-touch function could be used in some interesting concepts.

Personally, I'll be keeping an eye on the new N-gage.
Hopefully they've learned from their previous mistakes and this one will be much better.

On the WoW front, an app to check your auctions or to compare items via thottbot would be nice.
There are a few articles floating about saying people have played WoW on their cells but, I'd have to see it to believe something like that.

I had the displeasure of making a phone call with the old N-gage.
Basically you have to turn the darn thing on it side to talk.
Not only is it uncomfortable to use, you look ridiculous.

On a positive note, the golf game that I played on the N-Gage
was a lot of fun.
