free thinking is what improves IQ, if they where dumb from the beginning and always follow a pattern why would they gain IQ?

vote C everyone, we put the tax payers money in good use.

Ants are a hive mind, and look where they are, hiding under ground scrapeing out a meager living, why?
Because they don't have the Intelligence to go beyond that, if we go hive we go dumb, and if someone kill the king we all die.
Vote for C

With hive-mind, it's an increased IQ of all those minds working together, with no slacking off, or free thinking. We just don't think it's like that because the closest representation we have on earth is ants. If they were truly all sharing a single mind, then they wouldn't be foraging, they would be ****ing meshing together to form deadly monster blobs of doom!
YAY BLOBS OF DOOM!

Blobs of doom against a desperate leader that just decided to nuke NYC.
Who wins, I'll give you a hint, its not the blobs.
At this point, or any time in the near future would any of the other options survive.

hivemind doesn't mean that they're like ants....votet it.........there might be a hierarchy, killing the king doesn't mean killing the whole......and there might be some organized squad building manner.....the king/Queen just knows....uups, the squad is dead.....need more squads there.....or just hide making more squads

Don't be an idiot. We need a spellchecker already... Looks like Specialization and actual Civilization will triumph.

How would you actually know. It's really like having an agruement over time travel, because theres no real basis to compare on.

C Wins
Through their recent adventure the species realized that they'd have to specialize their best skills for best results in hunting. If they were to lure the humans to their death, they'd have to use all their powers to their best. From this moment on, little groups of 10-20 formed and became bands of specimen to hunt. Through the specialization one could find four main "jobs" to follow. For one there were the brutes, the strongest of them, who'd attack directly with their body and their tongues. The "sneakers" were the slender ones to sneak up behind the enemy to strike them from the unknown. The "jumpers" would secure the area, scouting arround, and finally the "leaders" would bark simple orders at the rest of the lot, also they'd use their tongues from afar. With this technique developped it became a matter of time until many more people would die.

One day a troop of pest controllants went down to hunt for the specimen. Those little buggers were equipped with the newest technology and they also had some information on the species due to the eggs that were hatched and observed by scientists. They came down with flamethrowers, lightgrenades, and some poison gas, and apparently they were protected by a rubber suit. One group took up a fight with the five pestcontrollants. At first, the scouts, the jumpers alarmed the others to get into position. The leaders barked their orders and set themselves into fighting stance. The sneakers hid in the shadows, while the brutes waited. When the troop of humans arrived the first brutes attempted to pierce them with their tongues. Unluckily for them, the humans were wearing rubber, and were therefore rather protected. Woosh, the first three brutes were struck by the flamethrower. This would mean that the species would need to change their attacking behaviour. The leaders called for direct body blows.

First the brutes would smash themselves against the humans' legs, then the sneakers would jump on their faces. Trying to throw them off, the humans put up quite a fight. Until the moment one of the humans lost his protective helmet it looked like a stalemate. Realizing that this was a weakspot, the leaders called for the removal of the headwear. The humans died quickly.

This development gave the species more reason. Their intelligence can be compared with humans. What should we do next?
A: Move out to the open
B: Try to build a place to hide, a place to put the eggs in safety
C: Try to form weaponry, apart from their natural weapons
D: Something else come up with something
OK, both of you die and let us know what happens.

Get the hell away from that spot. Deeper in the sewer. You won't be able to kill them all.

B, go deep into the sewer to build the new spot. It's moving away from their current discovered location, and making a new home at the same time.

D:Start farming humans instead of just hunting them.  Thus, as soon as you get one male and one female, you can move far away from the civilization and force them to breed, then you can have all the humans you want!
