I've placed the roles into four (technically five) categories this time round. This is both to help my memory, and to set up a more rigid order of whose powers go first. In the event of a conflict (ie two disruptors targeting each other), the one who requested to use their power first gets priority.

The order goes: DISRUPT > PROTECT > KILL > INVESTIGATE

DISRUPTORS

TAXI DRIVER
AFF: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Active, Unlimited
Picks 2 targets - Powers used on one target that night will be applied to the other and vice versa.

BUS DRIVER
AFF: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Active, Unlimited
Picks 2 targets - the powers of those two targets will be switched for the night.

BURGLAR
AFF: MAFIA
Power Type: Active, One Shot
Takes away target's power permanently. Becomes able to use it for himself.

GOON
AFF: MAFIA
Power Type: Active, Three Uses
Scares a target, preventing them using their power that night.

WIZARD
AFF: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Active, Four uses
Has a number of spells which are one-shot.
Devices mimic the effects of other roles, but the wizard can't tell which is which
until the spell has been used.
Always goes first in the power order, no matter what.

INVESTIGATORS

COP/CROOKED COP
Aff: TOWNSFOLK/MAFIA
Power Type: Active, Unlimited
May investigate a player every night.
May choose between learning role, or activities for the night.
Crooked Cops can only learn roles.

CHIEF OF POLICE
Aff: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Active, Unlimited
Works like a regular cop, except knows who all the other cops are.
Crooked Cops will show up as innocent initially - they must be investigated to discover their true colours.

PSYCHIC
Aff: TOWNSFOLK/MAFIA
Power Type: Passive
Will learn the role of anyone who targets them.

FORGER
AFF: MAFIA
Power Type: Active, Three Uses
If a FORGER's target is investigated that night, they will show up as Mafia, of a role of the Forger's choice.
May not select THE BOSS as the framed role.

KILLERS

VIGILANTE
Aff: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Active, One use
May kill a player of their choice during the night.

LUNATIC
Aff: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Passive
If killed during the night phase, their killer dies with them.

PROTECTORS

PRIEST
AFF: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Active, Unlimited
Can bless a target during the night - the target will not die during the night for any reason.
Cannot protect themselves.

SUPERHERO
AFF: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Passive
Cannot be killed at night. Only ever dies via a lynch.

CAMPER
AFF: TOWNSFOLK
Power Type: Active, Three uses
Can choose to protect themselves from all interaction for one night.

SNEAK
AFF: TOWNSFOLK/MAFIA
Power Type: Active, Semi-Limited
Can choose to "hide behind" another player each night.
Any powers directly targeted at the sneak will fail.
Any powers targeted at the sneak's target will also affect the sneak.
Power is effectivley unlimited except for the sneak may not hide behind the same person twice in one game.

MISC

THE BOSS
AFF: MAFIA
Power Type: Passive
Leader of the Mafia. Responsible for PMing the mafia vote to the game moderator.
Shows up as innocent (as a random role) when investigated.
Must name a fellow mafia member to take over as boss, should the boss die.
New bosses forfeit their old role powers.

PSYCHOPATH
Aff: SPECIAL
Power Type: Various
One-man faction. Wins the game by killing everyone else (excluding one person - if the game comes down to 2 people left and one of them is the psycho, the psycho wins.) Neither Mafia nor Townsfolk can win until they have eliminated the Psychopath if one is present.
There is only ever one psychopath at most in the game.
Can kill once per night.
Will instantly kill Burglars if targeted by them.
Is unaffected by Lunatic's powers.

TOWN TRAITOR
AFF: SPECIAL
Power Type: N/A
Found as a Townsfolk, but works for the Mafia.
Has another fully-functional townsfolk role alongside their traitor status.
Knows who the mafia members are, but they don't know who the traitor is.
Must protect the mafia by influencing lynch votes the wrong way intentionally or using his power to disrupt the townsfolk, without being lynched himself.
If the Mafia wins, the traitor wins too.
If the Townsfolk win, the traitor loses.

MAFIA TRAITOR
AFF: SPECIAL
Power Type: Active, Unlimited
Found as a Mafia, but works for the Townsfolk.
Has another fully-functional mafia role alongside their traitor status.
Fellow mafia members don't know they're a traitor.
Must do whatever they can to make the mafia lose without being killed. May use their power against the mafia.
If the Townsfolk win, the traitor wins too.
If the Mafia wins, the traitor loses.

Not yet, no. I'd like more than 14, if possible, and a few folks i'd have expected to be into this haven't came along yet.

Besides, I took you out of the list since you're going away. Isn't really much point in starting what you can't finish. Oh, and I don't rush things.

No.  Both Mafia turns and Townsfolk turns need to be 24 hours.  The Mafia shouldn't take that long, but the updates need to be at fixed times with enough time for people to respond.

Slart knows his stuff, as usual.

Oh yeah, criticism/ponderings/whatever on the new role list is much appreciated. I cut a lot of stuff out of from last time (which didn't get used anyway) and added the Wizard, a far FAR less complicated version of the Mad Scientist from Season II.

I don't trust you to obey the rules enough. Also i've been told in PM before by some who shall remain anonymous that they'd leave if you joined; sacrificing several for the sake of one really isn't fair at all.
