There were two different ways to do that. The Genesis Device you already mentioned but there was also a 'Volcano Device' which presumably begins the terraforming process.

Again, the city shown in that shot was an icon. A visual representation made by the game to show where the city is, because, at that level (zoomed out that far) it would be very hard to see the city at all without some kind of marker.

That was my guess too.

I'm sure I've seen something similar somewhere else as well, just got to remember where...

The ringworld wouldn't actually work with the sun in the middle as there wouldn't be any day/night cycle (it would also be effing gigantic if it surrounded a star). It would have to be in a normal (eccentric) orbit just like any other planet to get seasonal changes and the like.

E V E R Y T H I N G...

well, almost. I probably play sporting games the least though. Why do on the computer what you could do outside?
By the way, does anyone else think that games like UT and Q3 should be labelled shooters/sports?

@ Janos: DoW is good for the occaisional online bout.

Labelling something 'childish' is a very subjective notion.

Sounds interesting. I'll definitely check it out.

Is there anything you can compare the writing style to?

Hmm. I've never read them.

What's the general idea?

ps. 'redrum' isn't anything like doublethink is it? I was seriously disturbed by that...

Lol. A non-MMORPGer then?

Well, me too, but I have other vices...;D

We can always hope, things might change next time...

Nah ;D

That's another interesting perspective. I doubt many people would think of it that way though, not many games revolve around the actions of the player like the player is a part of the game so there's no other point of reference.

Lemurbouy: I understand now. A bit round about but I get it :P :)
