I just finished the single player and, lets just say, it got a very strong emotional response.

I'm restarting from a certain point so I can try and get the other ending, I paid for the other ending, and I'm damn well going to see it!

It looks horrible if you ask me. The whole thing seems like a clunky romp through a super shiny and styrofoamy city.

The city is supposed to represent a government controlled utopia, I love the visual style personally.

The music in the trailer is so awesome, suits the images so well. I'm really looking forward to this game now.

What is with the driving cam?  Why is it centered on the back of the car rather than letting you see over the car?  I keep finding myself having to click the view over the top just to be able to play.

I was playing Burnout Paradise the other day, and that suffers from this even worse.  It's like the camera is on the road, and you're having to look up at the car, which seriously hampers your driving ability.  I don't think it's so much of a problem in GTA, but it is certainly too low, I don't get how developers think that's a good idea.

They could at least include that feature from MGS3 where you could click down the analogue stick to lock the camera into place.

if you click back (or select on the PS3 I think) it will cycle through the camera views. The one that is zoomed in furthest is also raised slightly, making it easier to see where you are heading.

Hope that helped.

No I composed the soundtrack myself from scratch, shame you couldn't get sound, perhaps the flash player doesn't work all that well on windows. I'm using OSX.

It's really impressive, nice job ;).
The only downside is that the vid laggs horribly on my end for some reason :-\.

Not sure why it would lag for you, I suppose it is quite a high quality for an FLV player although when I browse to the link the video doesn't lag at all.

I've been working on this short film clip for my A level media studies course.

I had to create the opening to a horror/thriller movie and I just finished it.

I was just wondering what you guys thought of it.

It isn't of course a desperate plea for complements from a shallow and insecure person, certainly not! <------- Linkage

Thanks for your time,

*Spoiler* The SWAT van you steal on the last mission actually has a water jet.

So I was right? Which game are you referring to?

The two engines that can spray water are:

The Fire Engine obviously

I'm not sure but didn't the swat van have a water jet too for crowd control or something?

Sorry, the answer isn't as easy as entering a building.

What you need to do is find a tank (The Rhino)

Point the turret behind you

Keep pressing fire whilst driving forwards, with every shot the tank will go faster and faster.

Eventually, once the tank reaches a tremendous speed it will take off!

You can control the tank in the air in a similar way to an aircraft.

However, seeing as the tank does not count in the game as an aircraft, the invisible wall which usually prevents you from going too high does not exist. This allows you to go higher than even the tallest buildings, so high collision detection is disabled!

Wasn't the windsor an old fashioned looking sports car from GTA2, about 3 times longer than it is wide, it was quite fast but the handling leaves something to be desired.

I think the Angel is a Harley Davidson style motorbike, probably first seen in GTA3, I think I just made that one up, I cant tell really.

A trivia question linked in to a physics thing would be this:

What was a relatively easy way to go higher than the altitude restriction (invisible wall in the sky) in GTA3 and Vice City, without using aircraft or cheats?

I think I'm probably going to pick up God Of War, Wipeout Pulse, Colin McRae Rally 2005, and Daxter

The prices of the older titles has really plummeted which is nice too.

I'm also looking forward to checking out the homebrew stuff.

Thanks for the reply, as far as genres go, my favorites are probably action, racing, adventure, and action RPGs.

I play and enjoy just about every genre apart from RTSs which I'm rubbish at!

A new excuse has come into my life allowing me to purchase a new piece of consumer technology.

Namely, a PSP, I quite like the look of the White slim version and I'm kinda gettin' tired of all the touchscreen gimmicks on the DS (although Geometry Wars Galaxies is awesome)

So here I pose my question, what are the best titles?

I've pretty much paid no attention to PSP releases over the last few years so I have a very limited knowledge on the subject.

God Of War seems to have got some glowing reviews so I'll pick that up, and Wipeout Pulse looks like it will bring PS1 nostalgia flooding back.

What other games are there worth getting for the PSP?

So, hang on. They aren't really making the film?

Looked like they poured an enormous amount of time (and money) into making that trailer just for it to be a prank.

It'll probably be one of those viral achievements so that when you earn it, if anybody kills you they also get it.
