Everything Else / Things you would rather have than car.
« on: August 10, 2006, 05:54:47 pm »
The uber fast Mac Pro costs about the same as a car at about $22,000* 12,000 (Including two 30 inch displays and 16 GB of RAM)

I know in this day and age we tend to really need cars to live a normal life. But myself, being at the tender age of 15, I don't need a car. I think at the moment if I had that kind of money I wouldn't buy a car, even if I needed one. I would still buy this computer.

Imagine if you didn't need to buy a car. What amazing things would you buy with that money that wasn't spent on a car?

*It doesn't really cost that much in the US, I just converted the price from the UK price which is subject to VAT, shipping charges, and the shameless price hikes known as "Rip off Britain".

It has probably been done before. But not since I have been using forums. Let's see how big it gets before it breaks!

The rules are simple, just type out a little message, try to keep it short. and quote the last person who posted, and so on, and so on.

Everything Else / Mac or PC?

Right, I want to see the percentage mac users to PC users on the gamingsteve forum. If you use both, choose the one you use the most. If you use them both equally, choose Mac! Just kiddin'  just try to work out which one you use most.

I'm not really looking forward to it that much [Holds up riot shield as thousands of blunt objects come hurtling towards me]

Sure I'm going to buy it. But really I have looked forward to other games much much more than this one.

Anybody else think the same way?

If you own a 360 then you know what I am talking about.

How the hell can I make it quieter than the jet engine it is now? Please share all your tips.

Console Games / Great Xbox 360 games.

Do any of you have any suggestions for a 360 game that I could get?

They cost about $90 in the UK which is rediculous so I can't afford to buy them often (although the prices are falling gradually).

The games I have now are...

- Perfect Dark Zero
- Oblivion
- Burnout Revenge

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Forum Games / The assasination game.

OK I just made up this game so there is a possibility that it will be crap, but here we go.

The aim of the game is to as a community, earn 1,000,000,000 "credits".

You earn "credits" by assassinating certain brands, companies, bands, games, songs, consoles etc, and giving a reason for doing so, the poster below rates the reason and the decision, and pays them some blood money (Along with providing there own target to kill.

Each poster will then put the total amount of credits earned by everyone at the bottom of their post so we can keep track.
Each poster will also copy and paste the list of all the assassinated with there added target so they cannot be killed twice!

-You can only give between 0 credits or 1,000,000 credits at a time.
-Please do not post with anything other than assassinations, or always include one in your post.
-When I say 1,000,000,000 I mean "One thousand million"

Post 1----I assassinated Sony for putting excessive DRM on their CDs which installed invisible spyware on your computer when you tried to Rip it.

Total: 0c

Deceased: Sony

Post 2----I hated that too! I pay you 10,000c

I assassinated Google for trying to take over the world!

Total Blood Money: 10,000c

Deceased: Sony, Google

Post 3----Hey! I liked Google! Google Video was cool. I only pay you 1000c

I assassinated the 'Virtual Boy' for giving me a head ache.

Total Blood Money: 11,000c

Deceased: Sony, Google, Virtual Boy.

You get the picture! Now get killing!
