Everything Else / Re: It's Good Friday everyone!

well, technically easter is the celebration of the resurrection, not the nailing. But who's nit picking.

well in regards to the nailing to a cross, well at least it's unique.

Well, technically Easter is the celebration of the fertility, not the resurrection. But who's nit picking.

Nailing to the cross was unique? No, the Romans crucified everyone at the time. The people next to Jesus weren't big-time mob-bosses, they were lowly crooks. There were most likely dozens of other crucifixions that day.

For anyone who doesn't know, when those nice Christians invaded England they stole the pagan holidays and claimed them as their own...so fertility...thus the rabbit. Unless people think the rabbit was there at the crucifixion, or maybe the brown of the chocolate symbolizes the brown of the wood on the cross?

lol It's all true, but no one cares anymore. Pagans and Christians still have the same holidays (Easter, Christmas), gotta love it.

Garry's Mod is definately worth money, that's for sure. If it were a sepperate CD (just like CounterStrike is) then I would buy it no time, but I have a big problem paying for something that only exists on my hard drive. I did Direct2Drive Half-Life 2 the day it was released, but I feel odd not having a CD to show for it. If the server ever gets outdated and shuts down, I will never be able to play it again.

Anyway, Gmod is fantastic and so awesome, but I won't pay to donwload it.

PC Games / Re: Oblivion's own hot coffee

Morrowind had many pornographic and non-pornpgraphic nudity mods. Better Bodies did offer a nude version, so technically it was R, or rather tastefully PG-13.

It is no surprise that Oblivion has a topless mod. Personally I had Better Bodie's topless add-on, but I didn't play my character topless all the time. It's just a realistic add-on that some people like. I personally don't all excited seeing my Argonian topless, but I know some of you would. *cough*the idiot formerlly known as VFX*cough*

The higher-ups probably won't go too crazy about it. Oblivion has you killing demons (notice how they never went after Diablo 2) and fighting for good (generally), and there is no sex. Even sex-related mods are just suggestive, unlike The Sims 2 (which Wacko Jacko tried to say had nudity built-in because "a gaming site wrote that"), or GTA's infamous Hot Coffee (which was hardcore and interactive, but could not be accesses without a modded PS2).

I doubt Oblivion will scare those wacky politicians.

And I am the only other person in the forums who knew that.

Well happy Passover, I hope you enjoy the feast! I used to celebrate, but not anytime recently. Man, Jewish mom's are some of the best cooks in the world. So much food...

Why exactly did you call this "name that game" when it's a clan fighting thread?

I saw a few episodes of this show while it was on Fox, but never got into it too much. But now the entire series is only $18...so I have no excuse not to buy it and watch.

There's exactly 1337 members. Alowan offically has the coolest member number.

Actually Allch Chcar is the 1337th member. There have been a few deleted accounts, so the numbers are a little off. Alowan is the 1349th member, but he/she will still be eternalized in the screen I took...unless Imageshack shuts down some day.

i'm so excited for this movie, i'm a huge SH fan (SH 2 is the best imo)

Definately agreed. I really got a kick out of SH3 because the creepy theme park she's in (Lakeside Amusement Park) is a few blocks from my apartment. At night it really is that creepy...with the exception of the bloody bunny guys.

But yes, if this movie works, it will redeem the whole video-game based genre. And actually it will be the first one to have the game's soundtrack I believe. And boy will it be a great one. It sounds like all the game's ST combined for the movie.
