Spore: General / Spore Music
« on: December 08, 2005, 07:25:02 am »
At first when Steve had said the music was a placeholder, I wasn't entirely sure. And after saying that he said the battle music was from Star Trek, and I just couldn't remember hearing it anywhere. Well last night I was watching my Star Trek: OS Season 2 DVD and heard the exact music on the episode: Amok Time.

Completely crazy, now my hopes of the music being complete is shattered.

Everything Else / What to do with packing-peanuts?
« on: December 02, 2005, 09:39:54 am »
I just unloaded some boxes and now have 10 huge bags of packing-peanuts and the trash is full.
I am trying to think up some things to do with it. Some people have said napalm, others say to fill up a co-worker's cubical, and other say make some art with it in my loading-dock. I'm not sure.

Any ideas or things you've done?

Everything Else / Arcade Game Pics

I'm not sure what this site is about, but is has a bunch of pics of flyers or adds for classic games, along with some pics of toys too... I accidently found it looking up "TheShark" in google(the search came up with Poolshark).

I know it's not too exciting, but they could be used to make some new avatars. Especially for 762.

Movies / Videogame Movie Info?

Where is a good source for videogame-based movie information?
I know IMDB, but I was just wondering if there was any other good sites.

Everything Else / Sometimes I hate being an honest person

There is no one in my entire warehouse right now and I am counting inventory for ATI Radeon X800Xl vid cards(we have 160), sticks of 512RAM(197), Intel Desktop Board D925XEBC2 Extreme Series(which we only have one of...sadly), and a nice pile of DVDRWs and nice fragbox sized cases.

I am so so so tempted man. I know the Radeon isn't that great...but this Motherboard is fantastic and shoving 2 free gigs of RAM in it would be great... But alas, no. I am a good, honest person now. Who is past the age of "boys will be boys", and can now be tried as an adult.

So sad... :'(

Edit: And I just found the 3.4Ghz Processor to shove into it all.

I'm going to the midnight premier tonight at the Continetal.
I think it's the biggest screen in Colorado.

I'll let you all know how it is tommorow.

Vice President Cheney is petitioning Republican leaders of the
House to block a provision that would eliminate all forms of
U.S.-sponsored torture, arguing more leeway is necessary to
fight terrorism.

Apparently this has already passed in the house by a land-slide, and will now go the senate. I just don't want to be here when it hits the fan and we can torture anyone for no reason and it will be legal. We already have the the Patriot Act and with it they can already stop my bank account and put me into custody without reason.

...I'm so glad I'm moving to England.

Spore: General / Request for an avatar
« on: November 11, 2005, 02:24:37 pm »
Since I am limited to my work computer that only has MS Paint, can someone please make a nicer version of my avatar for me?

I used the four icons off the Resources bars in the 800 x 600 pics in the Image Archive post.

I would just love to have a nicer version of it. Maybe with the Spore world or logo in the background...whatever is cool.

Thanks guys.

TV / 2nd Clone Wars DVD
« on: November 11, 2005, 08:55:40 am »
It's about time. It is scheduled to come out in a few weeks, and I just can't wait!
I loved the series, despite how hard it was to catch it. I got the first one immediately after it came out and now I can finally show my friends why I won't watch all the movies in a row without Clone Wars in between 2 & 3.

For those of you who don't know, Clone Wars is a Star Wars cartoon that was made from the same guys as Samurai Jack and was played on Cartton Network. It is basically an episode 2.5. It is a little over 2 hours overall I believe. Watching it before I saw Episode III was awesome because it tells you a lot of things, like why General Grievous coughs for example.

Anyway, if you like Star Wars or Cartoon Network shows, definitely pick these DVDs up. The first one is available now, and the 2nd disc will be available in early Dec.

*Spell Check doesn't have "disc"

Everything Else / Moving to Europe...
« on: November 09, 2005, 12:07:23 pm »
Hey guys and gals.
In about a year, I will be moving to Surrey, England and I was just wondering if anyone knew this or not:

Is it possible to play my american games on a European system?
I do know that there are compatibility issues because of the TV format in England.(Nintendo Rep told me that)
And I have also read that there is a way to play them, because Animal Crossing was realeased later there, or hasn't been yet and some people there have played the american version with a mod-chip I believe.

Anyway, do any of you guys know how easy it will be? Or should I just wait to buy my next gen's when I get there and use an american TV with my old systems?
