Spore: Roleplaying and Story Games / Re: An Attempt
« on: November 12, 2013, 07:55:35 pm »
Since the death of the subforum and the coinciding timing of my moving to another forum, I have increased my capacity as a Roleplayer, and I really crave RPs such as those which lived here. Anyone even remotely interested in rebooting? Or did everyone move to somewhere else?
We moved over to DeviantArt, retitling the... thing 'The Kosmosis Chronicles". We have a wiki and everything!

Feel free to join us for RPs and stuff. We have cookies and coffee; tea 'n' crumpets too, if they're your thing.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong, though, I'm all for picking up where we left off here too. I'd be in, and I'm pretty sure Yuu would be in if he has time. I think KitKat and SimplyNecro are still around, though I don't have a clue where UFO King went. He was sorta working with us on the Kosmosis Chronicles but eventually just clammed up altogether. His account was taken down due to inactivity (I think?) and I haven't heard from him since.

I'm with Yuu, that software sounds like basically what we're trying with the Kosmosis Chronicles, except all in one except trying to hodge-podge it. Actually, this whole concept sounds exactly like the Kosmosis Chronicles, except it's being tried with a group of races that have been dead for IRL years. >.>

I wish you best of luck, but I don't see this going very far.

As I recall, Spore registration in general's been rather sketchy since release, hasn't improved much over time either way.
I never could register my copies either, so good luck dude.

This portion of the forum's deader than a clown at a coulrophobics' convention, but I'd still say go for it. If published on the internet, or better yet published for the mobile market (android), I'm sure plenty of people could find it interesting enough to download, something to just toy around with.

Someone still pays Spore?  My mind is blown.
I'm still trying to figure out why this portion of the forum still exists.

Honestly I go with both a Peace bringer type of play and Warmonger type of play as I prefer to attack any that is weak and ally strong Alien races. The way I do it is that I colonize a lot of planets that way no matter what I still get to the weapons or items I need and get alot of cash out of it. I honestly find it money draining to Terra form all the planets so I actually let a few not be terra formed.
Someone failed to notice that the last post was five years ago.

It's a valid point, all I know is that my mom said she heard shots. I'd tend to believe her, cuz'... y'know, she's my mom. I'd wager it's a safe bet he'd beat feet after firing, but then again they'd send units from multiple streets for expressly that reason :\

Who knows, it's only 3 hours ago and the news can conject just as much as everyone else. Maybe shot's weren't fired and she just heard ****. I hope none were.

EDIT: Well, after re-reading the now-updated article, I went out and double checked with her. It went from "Yeah, shots were fired. I heard 'em" to "Eh, maybe sorta kinda, I thought I heard shots...". I should have figured as much. Spent the last three hours all freaked out and ****, made a fool of myself on the internet for no damn good reason.

Huh, sounds like it was a prank call?  Let's hope so.
No, shots were fired. My mom heard them from home, too. So certainly not a prank call.

It's a middle school, and the whole shebang is locked down. Kids aren't getting released until five at the earliest, according to the news. That's all I've got to go off of, so some of it may be inaccurate. Last I got an update was about 20 minutes ago, news is probably cycling it intermittently.
This is the thing:

So a school less than three blocks east of where I live is on lockdown, apparently because there's a nut with an AK on campus. The entire damned PD is on scene, as well as a news helicopter.
I'm now utterly terrified and probably won't sleep a wink tonight. Great.

Hey, so uh....

What just happened here?

I know a couple of us were having the same problem, whenever we would try to open the site, it would try to open index.php.
I've got that problem happening constantly, still.

You can't register a pirated copy, for one. Two, you likely got that virus from your torrent. Three, even if you bought a legal copy, don't hold your breath. The EA registration system is crap and always has been crap. I got the game the day it came out, and it's still not registered in spite of multiple attempts. They send you a registration key, by the way.

Again it's a think from my point of view; to me, the underlying stuff was really shallow. That said, I'm pretty good at reading and comprehension, and for me, it is a third grade book. Ok, it's not a third grade book for everyone, that's a valid point, that was more because I was spouting off because I was mad than logical.
I should know better than to vent anything here, I have no way of doing it without sounding like a pompous ass or a moron anyway.
