PAX Day 3 Report:

I spent most of my day just wandering around, hopping on little games and hoping to win an XBO. There are only a couple games of note.

Peggle 2: Pat I played Peggle 2, it totally has Peggles in it, you should be jealous.

Lords of Waterdeep: A Euro type economy game with a DnD skin for good measure. Totally had a blast with this game. Basically each player runs and inn, each inn tries to complete missions buy getting enough adventures together (wizards, clerics, rouges, and fighters in wooden cube form) and then collecting victory points for doing so.

Spy Party: I've seen this game at the last 2/3 PAXs and I finally got around to play it. Basically one player is a spy at a party trying to do sneaky spy stuff, the other player is a sniper trying to figure out who the spy is and shoot him/her before time runs out. It's easier to be a spy, I was able to to all four of my objectives and the sniper only suspected me for a little bit. As a sniper it's not easy to figure out who the spy is and I ended up shooting the wrong person very early into the game. I asked a guy when it was going to come out, and he said, "When it's ready." So I expect it to be at a few more PAXs. Will get when it finally comes out.

Later this week I will continue the tradition of giving away beta codes and other such things that i collected at PAX, including League of Legends codes. Keep an eye out for that thread!

That's all really neat. Wish I could go to PAX.

EDIT: Oh yeah, what did you think of DnD Next? Did you dig it?

I play mainly 4th right now, and my one complaint is that it's very combat focus and combat takes a long time. Next feels more Role play-ie but I do miss the awesome powers of 4th.

Go and see Mew-Genics, that's much more important than Xbone or the P-Squad.

They aren't showing the game, the only thing they had was a poster you can stick your head through and take a picture.

I've heard the press is losing their marbles over Witcher 3. Is it there and can you get a look at it?

I don't think it's at the show, or I just haven't seen it.

Day 2 Report

Met up with LadyM and Ovi. We went and played Borderlands 2 and had to kill some boss. Our time was around 5:40, and we were the top 7 spot. We then went and played Rome: Total War. There were two maps to choose from, LadyM and myself chose the forest map and both ended up getting slaughtered. Ovi Played the other map with boats in it and killed all the bad dudes.

Played Loco Cycle on the XBO, fun and silly, felt very much like a Twisted Pixel game. But I got a raffle ticket and later in the day ended up winning a signed copy of Gun Slinger, so free stuff for me!

Played OctoDad on the PS4. A silly game.

I got to try out the Oculus Rift with some game that was described as an Exploitive Non-Combative MMO. Basically you walked/flew around some island for awhile. It didn't seem much of a "game" but it was a nice demo for the Oculus Rift. It was supper cool and very impressive tech. On the down side I had to take off my glasses, but luckily I'm near sighted, also you can see all the pixels, so even if you were playing a graphical power house of a game, you will still know you're in a game. Regardless I totally want one.

I then Played a DnD Next campaign where there were 5 different parties all playing part of the same quest. We all had our own DMs but there was one MEGA-DM who would tell us what was happening in the world. Each party had to protect a tower from creatures attacking it, and then there was also a dragon would fly from tower to tower. When the dragon came to our table there as a barbarian hanging from it's tale, so that played had to come sit at our table and play with us a bit. It was a cool concept and fun.

Day 1 Report:

I had two goals today: 1) Play on the PS4. 2) Play on XBO. Both goals were met. On the PS4 I played Warframe and Drive Club (I played these games because I only had to wait 5 mins to hop on) Warframe sucked in a generic way. It wasn't bad it was just a generic 3rd person shooter. Drive Club felt like a nice arcade racer. The PS4 controller felt small compared to the 360 controller but it still felt like good controller, a step up form the PS3. I didn't realize that the touch pad was a clickable button, which was cool, but felt kinda flimsy. Also, the touch pad curved over the back of the controller but wasn't flush with the back. It felt like I could get my finders under there and rip it off like a scab if i wanted to. I kept wanting to pick at it. Other then that, the touch pad felt very nice and responsive but I do think it will be the first thing to break on it.

When I was playing Drive Club they had the PS4 camera attached, holy moly that thing is tiny. I swear it's the same size as a pack of Starburst.

I played Ryse, looked good, but I'm not to big on brawlers. XBO controller felt nice, the only thing I noticed that the grips seemed to have slightly flatter edges compared to the 360. Didn't feel any rumble triggers, but felt like a great controller.

Played WindForge It's like Terraria with Airships. Only seemed ok.

Played Super Time Force again, still looking forward to it. Last year I thought it felt to easy, this year's build was more challenging. So hurray for that.

Played a Pathfinder Card Game It seemed more complex that it needed to be and kinda meh'.

Played the New Earth Defense Force, god that is still a stupid fun game.

Biggest line award goes to Titan Fall.

For a movie about robots punching monsters, it's not bad.

if you wait a while you could get stardew valley.
dunno if its gonna be on mac but it looks aight

That was one of the first things I thought of, but looking at their page, it seems that a mac version would come sometime after PC release, and that hasn't even happened yet. I forgot about my DS, and I think I will just let them borrow that and get the DS version of AC. I walked into a Game Spot and they wanted $35 for it used still, same price for the 3DS version and I was like, "Whaaat?"

I friend of mine wants to play a game like Animal Crossing or/and Farmville, but that can be played on 360, PS3 or possibly a Non gaming Mac.

Thanks in advance.

I still haven't made up my mind but I'm leaning more towards XBO because they have more exclusives I care about. I could go either way, i could still buy both.
