Over a year for me too, I signed up on the forums like a day or two after they were set up. It's pure agony I tell you.

From what I have seen and heard, I just dont' see what the gameplay is going to be. While the scenery is very detailed it just looks like sets to me. While it may have great graphics, that seems to be all it has.

TV / Re: Stargate SG1 season9 Final

Ya, that was one heck of a finale. I couldn't believe what was going on with the Ori ships.
Spoiler: For some reason I got it in my head that Arthur and the knights went off with Merlin and created a high tech society and were just waiting for the signal to return to Camelot. So all during th egiant fire-fight I kept saying out load "...and now is when Arthur's ships show up...No, damn...Now!...crap just the other guys.....Now! nope more explosions."

TV / Re: gundam

I'll admit I love Gundam Wing, great show loved the mobile suits in it. However the show I liked the best was the one with that squad of Leos fighting in the jungle, it was real gritty fromt he view of the actual ground soldiers in normal suits. Was that 0083? I have to say I was horribly dissapointed with Gundam Seed, I'd rather go play Front Misison 3 than watch that show. Wansers FTW!

Books / Re: George R R Martin

I found out the other day that there are two short-stories floating around based in ASoIaF, one is called The Hedgeknight and i can't remember the other one, but it's about the old guy from the wall when he was a kid.

I bought A Feast for Crows a month ago and read it, very good read. I let my friend read the book afterwards and one night he pointed out there was something interesting on the first page. I open the book and take a look, there was George R. Martin's signature. It wasn't printed, it was actual pen, you could see tiny smears and where it rubbed off a bti on the other page. We were both freakin' out about it.

Books / Re: Ender's Game

Ender's Game was great, and the sequals to that one definitly gave some provocative thinking about concepts I normally don't address. Now, Bean's series, those are freakin' awsome. I love the manipulation of global politics, plus Bean is just cool. I just picked up the soft-cover of Shadow of the Giant and I'm almost done reading it, I'm loving what's going on. If you like Ender's Game, but aren't a fan of the sequals to it do yourself a favor and pick up the ones about Bean, you don't be dissapointed in the least, they take place imidietly after Ender's Game and they finish up that part of the story. Plus you get to read about all your favorite Battle School kids.

Man do I ever miss Planetside. The first true MMOFPS. *tear* I had the most fun on that game, no other MMO can compare to the memories.

Books / Re: Wheel of Time series: What do you think?
« on: February 01, 2006, 04:13:54 pm »
The Wheel of Time series is a waste of time after the fourth book.

This is the series that never ends, it goes on and on my friends, once you started reading you can never really end, cause it's the series that goes on and on my friends.

I like the Watch books, and all the stand alones. They have an excellent flavor to them. The Truth and Going Postal are two of my favorite books.

Once a race has reached the peak of technology I think in 20 million years they would probably just proceed to spread across the star systems. Or posible become extinct somehow.

Spore: General / Re: Same sentient species on planet
« on: February 01, 2006, 04:05:59 pm »
Why couldn't there be more than one galaxy? Kind alike how their are regions on Sim City, I dont' really see the need for that much spae considering exactly how big a galaxy is, but it's certianly plausible. Why exactly do you think there wouldn't be sentient life on other planets in your own galaxy? It wouldn't be very much fun if all you did was sit around and wait until you're people created faster-than-light technology, Having othee planets with sentience would be like having other cities for you to compete with on the planet.

Small Gods was a Diskworld book...

My friend actually thinks that Thud was ghost-written by another author with his name.
