yeah like if my male creature had horns and is blue
and the female has no horns and is red

oh wait that wouldnt work unless it was like the sims where it meshed the two together on the next evolution.

so male kid would have horns and be purple?

I guess you would have to limit it on size and decorations to get male/female creatures

I wonder how soon, after we get the creature editor, that we'll be able to add custom content like new parts for the editors

I would like to see Male / Female creatures added to the game instead of unisex creatures.

Don't get me wrong, I'm gonna buy the game anyways. I think once I go thru the game I'll get a better idea on whats available. I am very interested in Spore but with all the videos out there it seemed like the game was just a content creator even tho we have no idea if there is a story behind it or not, in which coming from the sims creator there probably isnt one like someone said they nudge you in the right direction and you make the story yourself.

Spore: General / Problem solving in games

In Will's nasa video, he mentions games are no more than solving a problem with the variables being different ranges. Somehow I get the feeling that Spore is just a game to create stuff without much story to back it up.
Do you think that Spore will have goals to accomplish to make each level worth going thru instead of skipping levels? If you take the sims as example, you can create stuff as you progress thru the game but after awhile it gets really really boring trying to get to the next step like having to create 10 friends to get the next goal.
Once you do complete the stages and goto the space stage, it seems it would get boring just exploring the galaxy just to look for life and ufo parts. I played sims castaway and the first story was pretty good untill you finished it then in the sandbox mode it was just like any other sims game in which it got boring for me.
Once we find out the limitations of the editors and create all the stuff we can, I hoping the game wont get boring without any goals to accomplish.
I've heard rumors that some EA employee said that game wasnt much fun so that might be why they arent going to release it untill october. Just a thought tho.

Does anyone else think this might happen to them as well ?
