What? I never said herbivores were puny, put that Triceratops away before you poke somebody's eye out...or poke them out entirely.

When i said Halle has 2 sets of teeth i ment a upper set, and a lower set. Unlike the goat who has just 1 set on the bottom. I also mentioned her canine teeth. Its kind of hard to tear meat without them. I did refer to canine and molars though. Her "fang teeth" are the canine. I didnt know that there were other teeth called incisors. I need to brush up on my dentistry. When i say Omnivore teeth, i mean the majority of omnivores. Ive never been bitten by a Gorillas, and i hope i never do. Though i goat did try to eat my shirt, and no he didn't spit acid...blulightning...

Wow, its already confermed that there will be tentacles in the creature phase, and that there will be claws. or atleast...tentacle...things...

At the beginning of the game the little wiggly thingys are tentacles. They are more like decorations but still, its a start. If we did have tentacles, what good would it be?

as for claws, that bulgy oranges creature has claws. It's hard to see from that kind of angle, but i think somebody posted a green creature with the same claw but from a better angle...or was it a tentacle? lol

Thats really weird, because in the cell stage you look at your backround and other creatures and you think,"wow, I sure am small." and then when you crawl up to land with a very large cell version of your creature its so much weirder. I liked it better when after the cell stage you started off in the ocean, and worked your way up to land. Thats one BIG cell.

Uh, i think mid 2008 my friend, they should throw it up 2 weeks before spore is released. Anyway did anyone hear anything about my much anticipated Creature pollinator blocker ive been craving so hard for? You guys should remember my "spongebob creature" thread. I'd really just like to expel him from the universe...just jettison him out into the void. It also be nice if i could get rid of certain civilizations and replace them with one just as powerful, but different looking. I dont want to find Imperial storm troopers in the tribal stage. Though I do plan to alter my creature to look like a human once i do. I really want to have the option of Not releasing my creature into the all.

Did anyone notice that there were these 2 blue creatures and then all of a sudden this flashy light spawned and this gigantic but identical 3rd blue monster popped up? it that a little strange to anyone?

Alright, I'll try one more time. In this post, well be examining the anatomy of the Carnivore, Omnivore, and herbivore teeth  characteristics and decide which would be more adapt to kill another animal. For this example we will be using a lion, a goat, and halle barry.

notice how the goat has no upper lip, its bottom set of teeth are instead perfect for eating grass or another other type of foliage. The goat would simply cut the grass and chew in a front to back motion to grind it. Though i personally have experienced first hand a goat trying to eat me, i would say it is a unreliable in a situation where it has to defend itself. Sorry mr.goat.

examine halle barry's teeth. She has 2 sets of upper and lower teeth. The top 2 teeth are effective for ripping, while the "fang" teeth are effective for shredding meat and the back teeth are perfect for grinding. Though i doubt she will get a chance to use her mouth, halle barry would be a formidable opponent when put into a situation when she needs to defend herself. Keep flossing Halle!

examine the tigers teeth. They first thing that catches your eye is the "fangs" the lion has. Perfect for tearing, ripping and shredding any thing it needs to. The tiger would chew up and down because of its 2 sets of very sharp teeth. And would be a king when put into a combat field of teeth.

based on speculation of course, spore uses the same concept, about having 2 mouths? its possible. Though you would be wasting DNA points to get a decent 2 mouths. You could spend it on faster legs or better ears to sense things, while your rival creatures are evolving to be better suited to kill you, 2 mouths would come in handy.

Remember to brush!, and try to prove me wrong.

I would be carnivore or herbivore in terms of survivability. Look at the mouth of a human. We have the front teeth which are made for tearing. The "canine"  teeth are for shredding, and the molars are for grinding. However look at the teeth of a dog or wolf, or lion. The mouth is much more effective against another creature. And sometimes its best to rule with fear. It can get you a long way. Before you get overthrown. And once again. Id like to say while i was posting this, my dog just jumped up and killed a fly that was still in mid air...she also crapped right in front of the door next to my sandles. damn.

i wish i could have found a better example, but i have said that. This was the most recent i could find. If you did buy 2 mouths, it could be a waste of DNA points. If you got a decent carnivore and omnivore mouth of course.

what is wrong with you people? lol. I used to have a friend who was a Mormon. It was against his religion to drink anything with alcohol. So like 5 years ago i was at my other friends house with him. Anyway his older bro came back from the beach with a friend a showed us the salsa he made. Anyway i never liked salsa very much and didnt have any, but they did. So any way 20min later he tells us that he put vodka in it. We wouldnt have known, vodkas clear right? Anyway he didnt go back to davids house for about 2 months. Eventually he moved to Fresno, he was in the military, and he got in a car crash. The seat belt twisted his neck so hard it actually cut into it. His father was placed in emergency care, i havnt heard anything sense. Hes alive though.

notice how i just shared an experience with a friend who was also very religious and didnt relate back to the topic because I already did twice in the posts preceding this. Just something for Mark to read and relate to. Not to answer is question for the 64th time. You already have like 5 pages worth of that.

Yes! Ive always been trying to explain to people that if you are an omnivore you would gain DNA points slower to compensate for the dual food source, but in return all i get is "That doesnt make sense Crowley" and "stop going off false data Crowley". It makes me feel so nice to know i was right all along, And just to see if i can double my winnings, im pretty sure omnivores cant attack other animals as good as a carnivore because of the difference in mouths. It's a gamble, but what do you guys think. (i bent my finger back playing basket ball for like the millionth time, ill be typing pretty slow)

I was re-watching the videos where we supposedly have to follow a "circular" pattern to build buildings and I noticed 2 things:

1. It's not really circular.
2. There's roads where you can't place them, the only place where you can place them is where a road ends, therefore if you can build the roads there won't be a problem :P

I think it's not where the road ends. It has been said that the buildings are placed on foundations, so you can probably be able to choose where you want your foundation to be and the paths will connect all the foundations automatically. The circle of lights that signal the places where you can place your building were all over foundations.

Sorry man, your wrong. Somewhere in this video theres a scene of them making a city building. There are white glowy spots where your spoused to put your buildings. on. There arnt any roads either, its just your custom cement design.

I remember back in the days of EverQuest I knew a girl who had to play a rogue because magic was sinful. That's what her mom said anyways.

I had a friend who was the daughter of a missionary. She spent most of Grade 11 trying to convert me. Now I probably wouldn't have changed religions, and was happy to listen to her at first, but when she wouldn't listen to what I believe and shot me down I ignored her. Considering the drama your friend gave over a Christmas present I wouldn't try pushing him. In the end it's his loss. As much as some Christians might want to believe they don't hold the patent in creating things. Spore lets you create worlds. If someone doesn't like that not much you can do. If they are reasonable you can try talking to them, but in my experience anyone religious enough not to buy Spore already has their mind set, and pushing the subject will only annoy them more.

Lol, Looks like Interitus tried to get converted by the inquisitions daughter in his junior year. No one Expects the Spanish Inquisition!

I agree, Its total your friends decision. There are other game out there for him to play. Like BioShock...Or Halo 1, but not 2 or 3 because they involve alot of religious thinkings and heresy. Maybe by the time spore is out, They will be making a game your friend can play. I'd hurry though. If you want to get a copy of spore for yourself, I'd Run.

I wish there was anatomy and stuff like that. I'd sit their for hours with my first (creature stage) kill. I spill out it's innards and play with them for hours. I'd swing it's spinal column like a bat to beat the blood out of the rest of it's corpse. 'Quit hitting yourself! Quit hitting yourself!'

So far it seems that if a creature dies. Theres just blood...thats all. Even the blood seeps after a few seconds. Ive seen it in the demos. Sorry man, your spinal chord batting dreams are washed away just like the Blood and any other MLB dreams. What about jump roping with its small intestine?

Well markonite, Religion is a sensitive topic. Must we question the existence of a greater presence or hold subject the questionings of faith? Or should we define our reality through science or discuss the challenge to resist the temptation that god has given us as a test of faith?

None the above

Mark, it was nice to know that you cared deeply enough about your friend to post a thread like this. Hes lucky to have a friend like you. Though, sometimes there are things a person cannot do because it goes against ones moral values. Though you may not be as religious as your friend, you still need to realize that something so trivial in life can be immensely difficult for others, including all things. You need to either favor his enjoyment over his values or vis versa. If it deeply offends your friends moral consciousness then i recommend he doesn't play spore. In the long run, enjoyment and goodness are ephemeral in comparison to the faith of religion. Though he may miss out on something good, at least he will always have you and his faith to look forward to.

As for the posters, this isnt a matter of religious exsistance. He simply asked a question and needed a response. This is a sensitive topic. It deals with his friends and social life and if you decide to post insulting and pointless things then your not making anything better.  zodester please, you may not be religious and your friend may not be on the line here. Help him out.

That really makes me lose hope in spore. And has nobody even discussed how to "build" vehicles. they just say you can make them and that there is nothing so far that effects their price.

You know what i really hate? Temporary Gore. When im playing spore and I slaughter a herd of animals with my tribe and then i come back 5 minutes later and theres nothing there. It still looks green and pretty and happy. I love long lasting gore. When i shoot a smiley face into the fall with bullet holes. I WANT IT TO STAY THERE! when i decide to do my casual genocide i would like to a graveyards worth of bones and barren spots in the grass where the very blood of the creature salts the land. Oblivion was awesome because the bodies never went away, but the blood did. I would really like for the blood to stay a little. And maybe even trickle down. Its not regular gore. its Spore Gore
