PC Games / Hilarious Loading Screen Messages
« on: May 20, 2006, 11:06:12 am »
I was playing Auto Assault Free Trial lastnight and I started noticing the loading screen text. Below are some examples.

Dealing in Darksided things.  (That's a reference to that Crazy Trading Spouses lady)

Looking up stuff on the internets.

Obsoleting Orcs

Nooooooooooooooo.    (Darth Vader's cry)

Joining Que for Frozenwolf.    (That's a stab at WOW's notoriously over-populated servers)

Saving, Taking half damage.

Burning Buildings

Tightening the graphics on Level 3

Well I am lvl 6 now, almost 7 and I am finally getting a little bit used to the craftinf system. It is very complicated!

Combat is still great!

But you can take it off sweet jumps! :-P

It is actually more to just blowing cars up. The talent system is very much like WOW's. Right now I can summon a pet fighter and pet Healer that help me out quite a bit.

PC Games / Auto Assault 14-day free trial. No Credit Card Needed!

I'm pretty sure that's the link but I'm at work so I can't test it. If it doesn't work for you, just search Google for "Auto Assault free trial".

Anyways, I downloaded the game yesterday (took about 3 hours on Cable @ 192kbs) and finally got to play for about an hour before I had to go to bed.

My first impressions:

Very quest based, not really a grind at all.

Combat is fast paced, dynamic and should get your heart pumping.

Even at level 1-4 I was finding weapon upgrades including a sweet looking mortor and blood sprayer.

Game is like a larger Twisted Metal Black. Driving around is VERY fun, combat is awesome, quests are simple so far (go kill X Pike Footpads, go collect X contaminated Ore) but I can't really see myself paying money to play it due to the polish factor.

The game is fun like an arcade game, not like a MMO if that makes sense to you. If you read full length reviews elsewere on the internet they will pretty much say the same thing. Combat is fun, driving is great but the game needs lots of polish and tender love and care to make it truely shine.

I FULLY suggest downloading this free trial however. There is nothing like blowing up buildings while being chased thru contaminated ruins by speederbikes.

Actually you should apply QuikClot as soon as possible... Note that you will probably pass out from the gutwrenching pain of having your nerves and blood veins cauterized, but it'll make for a good story.

Yah, i'm bleeding like crazy from my wrists, is that bad? You got anything for that?

Check for breathing!
Look for blood!
Apply Pressure!
Treat for Shock!

I had to teach a Self-Aid and Buddy Care class to a few people from my Squadron today and it was a great success. If anyone needs to know how to splint or control bleeding just ask your resident Safety Guru!

I'd so have to say your friend ruined your chance there mate. he made you sound like you didn't have the nerve to ask your self, plus he didn't sound like the way he asked was the best way either. Kick his arse later or at least interfer next time he is trying to hook up.

Yeah that would be great if he wasn't married. I guess when guys get married they totally lose all of their hook-up your friend skills.

You should have given her your number after what transpired. That's what I would've done at least.

Regardless, only turned down once? Should I ever end up single again, I'll need me some of your stuff, because I certainly don't have that kind of luck.

Ahh, that is a damn good idea! I was just too embarassed to even think clearly. I plan on going out there again after I get back from Vegas and try my luck one more time.

As for not being shot down, I have had a girlfriend for the last three years and before that I was always shy. Now I don't play games with the ladies because I don't feel like wasting my time. It's funny because lots of my guy friends are very good-looking but they come to me on advice on how to talk/treat women.

It's all about confidence, being easy to talk to, and having a twinge of goofiness. I have more than enough goofiness to go around!

And it wasn't my fault!

I was at a local bar waiting on my friends to show up when this girl that worked there started talking to me. We were just talking about nothing and everything and she would have to keep leaving to take people there drinks but would always say, "I'll be right back, don't go anywhere!" I don't care who you are but you have to know that she was flirting with me. Anyways we talked for around an hour and a half when my friends show up. I introduce everyone to her and she just keeps coming over and talking to me. Everyone keeps saying that I need to ask her for her number and I told them that I was planning on it later once I got to know her better.

Enter Cockblock stage right

She comes back and we start talking again when one of my friends jumps beside us and says "I'm sorry but I just have to clear the air. Do you have a boyfriend, husband, lover, girlfriend or anyone else that would keep you from giving my man your number?" She says that she's single but doesn't give her phone number out to guys she meets at work. OH BURN! I just kinda stand there and apologize and say that I totally understand where she is coming from. Then I tell her where we're going to be and got the heck out of dodge.

I don't normally get turned down because I'm a damn nice guy but for some reason I keep thinking about this girl! Oh well, life goes on and there are more fish in the sea and all that jazz.

I am going to bed. First I think I'll read more of my new book, Drawing of the Three (Stephen King's Dark Tower Series). So far the book is really good!

I've had some issues lately with anxiety following a really tough experiance I went through a while back and I just never can sleep! Does anyone have any tips on falling asleep when you're not sleepy at all?

I have some sleeping meds but tomorrow morning I have to run 1 1/2 miles for my PT test so I don't want to be groggy during the run.

Also, I would like to say that I am sorry for spamming LadyM.

Kaze is cute for a man.

PatMan's name isn't PacMan like I put in a previous post (sorry buddy).

I love each and every one of you. You are special and no matter how you feel about yourself, someone out in this crazy world thinks that you are beautiful and would more than likely die for you.

Goodnight GamingSteve Forumites!

Please don't spam the Everything Else thread with such spam. Thank you.

P.S. PacMan calls her a man all the time.

What about the people in Fable? Thunder, Jack, any bandit, and of course, the main character himself.

Evil fable characters look like Michaell Stipe with even more AIDS, seriously... check it out.

AIDS infested Michael Stipe...

Evil Fable Character...

Okay, maybe without the armor and the sweet stache.

I don't drink beer either... I ONLY drink hard liqour, Crown Royal and Jager Bombs usually... I'm Irish so it's a little more acceptable to be a drunk/lush.
