BioWare was bought by EA... what does this mean for BioWare fans?  Does it mean we just got pwned, or is BioWare in better shape than it's ever been since the new CEO of EA was once the CEO of BioWare?

Mass Effect is a send up to classic 80's sci-fi... what are some of your favorite 80's sci-fi memories that are evoked by this game?  What other inspirations do you feel it draws from?

And how does Bioshock fit in and live up to it's System Shock legacy?

P.S.  Welcome back to the podcast cyberscape.   ;D

P.P.S.  Ahhh, shoot!  I got in my question too late!  I'll email it to ya for the next episode.  Welcome back, once again!

I'll be right back to lay down some discussion, but yeah.... basically the fanboy response of, EA being my least favorite publisher owning my favorite developer.

That and a point of pride and biggest reason for owning a 360, the exclusivity of Mass Effect now being negated since it going to be EA owned... now it can go multi-platform.

When last we heard from our hero and fearless leader you'd moved into some new digs with a room you could turn into Gaming Steve's Battle Station and could lauch podcast attacks once again on the video game industry.

All that still coming along well?

'Til the Return of the King... hope the fam's doin' well!

P.S. Dying to hear your words on Bioshock in reference to System Shock 2.

And it's all in fun.  I know the guy and we're all big fans of the Gaming Steve podcast and miss it dearly.

Still you gotta listen to this.  It's right in the opening and pretty hilarious.   :D

Enjoy, hope Steve gets a good laugh out of it and we all eagerly await the return of Steve to the world of podcasts.  Hope you're doin' well, Steve!

It's more of a "Stick a fork in this one and... well..... wait some more."

All we can do.   :-\

Until Steve the Great returns, here are two podcasts that I listen to that had some killer Wii Launch coverage.  Enjoy and like everyone else, I will wait patiently for the return of the king and hope that he and his family are doing well.

Couple guys in my office recently had kids an they were socially out of commission for about two to three months.

So... 'til then:

Broadcast Gamer: The Nintendo Wii Launch

Team Fremont Live: The Nintendo Wii Review

Come back soon, Steve.  We wanna know what YOU think!!!

Posters, put up what Podcasts you find that best cover the launch of the new consoles!

End of an era that lasted like... a year.

Really sucks to see what was once the 'net's best podcast now kinda.... gone.

Hit up  The host, M.C. Wilson's got himself a pretty nice regular podcast going and he's rounding Episode 100 with Wii coverage.  It's where I go for my regular intelligent gaming podcast now.

Here's for hoping Steve returns someday. -___-

Steve, you are a king among men.

We love you and the podcast, but really if something like this goes down and you're outta action for more than a week or so.... could you give us a heads up?  I was thinking everything from some kinda legal trouble to other trouble had struck ya man.  You got a lot of people the count on and look up to ya.  Not gonna even dream to tell you how to run the site, but as a fan... could I ask that we get at least a whisper and an update if you're alright and everything's fine?

Anyway, sorry to hear you were down, man.  But damn glad to hear you're back in action.  Looking forward to your next cast and to hear you once again knock it outta the park, Steve.

Glad you're okay too!   ;D

Thanks for the update!

The little problem I have is that I'm a webmaster too, but my audience is about 1/100th of what Gaming Steve brings in.  He's a responsiblity to his readers and listerners to tell them what's up and what's going on.  I was gone from my site for about a week, but I let them know that my father had passed away and that I would be gone for that time.

That being said, Steve's proven himself through and through to be a good and considerate guy, so for him to be gone this long without so much as a word... does raise some concern.

Is there anyway to find out if he's alright?

I'm all for Steve taking his time and attending to his life.  I appreciate all the shows he has done up to this point and love the quality.

But yeah.. it's not too hard to post on a message board to let us know what's up.

I mean, do we even know if he's okay?  Hope so....  :(

Anyway, while I'm dying for more Gaming Steve as he's my favorite, here's some other good ones that tide me over until the king returns:

Hope Steve's alright.  I and I'm sure everyone else miss the guy.   :'(
