I'm not a fan.  If we want to follow you on twitter, we'll click the twitter link, we don't need the huge block there that forces us to scroll down for the forum.
The purpose for that is so people can read updates who don't follow twitter. Many people still read the front page. If you want to go directly to the forum, you can bookmark the forum url. That's how I usually do it.

How does that make any sense?  If I'm not following him on twitter, it's because I don't want to follow him on twitter.  Twitter is a largely useless fad.

They can crank out a L4D 2 in less than a year, but they can't get us the HL2 Episodes done even close to schedule?  Don't get me wrong, I like L4D, I just like HL2 more

I'm playing through the game right now, I think I'm on the last level.  Great game so far, but that Star Destroyer part was bull****.  It was poorly executed, poorly explained, and frustrating as hell.  They managed to take the cool aspect of bringing a star destroyer down with the force and turn it into my least favorite part of the game thus far.

The game was pretty bad.  I wouldn't recommend anyone play it.

Do they just send you the discs in a sleeve or they send you the actual game boxes unopened?  I'll definitely buy it if its the latter

Which is why it should be freeware

For the people saying Vista is too new, I've played Alpha Centauri on Vista and it worked fine. I, however, didn't manage to ignore the outdated graphics and I quickly uninstalled it :(

Your loss.  A monumental, unfathomable loss.

It's an pretty fun Sid Meier game.

I think Brian Reynolds did most of the designing for this game.  I don't think Sid had much to do with the creation of Civ 2, 3, 4, or Alpha Centauri, I think it's mostly a marketing thing at this point  :-\

That being said, I love Alpha Centauri, in my mind it's one of the greatest games ever made.  I lost both the original game and expansion, though, and it costs a fortune to buy them now.  The original goes for around 50 dollars, the expansion for around 70.

Ad block plus.  I haven't seen any ads in years
