THANK YOU!  Honestly, if it wasn't for spore, I wouldn't be as good at drawing creatures, machines or vehicles and such.  It really inspired me to make some wacked out stuff and I got alot more skill because of it, but I'm done waiting, can I have it ASAP pleaaaaase!? I loooove yooooouuuuuu!?

Spore: General / Re: Do you prefer the old or the new Tide Pool phase?
« on: March 10, 2007, 06:29:45 pm »
I like the new tide pool game alot, tho I do kinda miss parts of the old one.  I think the new one probly plays better and the parts for the creatures are probably better balanced and such BUT it bothers me how big the eyes are on the MICRO-organisms, shouldn't they just have eye-SPOTS?  It's a little too little-kiddish if you ask me but I like the wider variety of stuff you find in the level now!  I hope they make more parts for the little guys.

Aslong as you mod the look a bit everyone will shut up and do nice mindless comments like usual.
Or you can stick it to the man and make creatures based on Warcraft critters!
But the man makes us cookies...
But being a rebel gets you brownies...the special kind...
But rebels suck ass and die every time.

Did you learn nothing from Star Wars? The moral was that rebels always win with the help of fuzzy critters.

No no no, rebels can win with the help of R2-D2, in case you didn't notice without him the entire series is nothing, without R2 Anakin might have died in the Nubian fighter or Luke could have gotten squashed in the garbage smasher AND no one would ever get through a door.

Ok but back on topic, even though those things are ripped from Warcraft, they're still pretty sweet.  Have to say I thought they were about the coolest things when I played WC3.  However, try to get some original pictures up soon ok?  You could probably get somebody else to do it you know.  And I don't care what anyone says, if I was the artist that made that thing I'd be pissed that someone was using it to make some alien species of their own, even if you DO give em credit.  But that's just me.

Thanks for all the comments guys!  I have another one, though it's not colored:

I may color it later but most likely not, since it's already up and I have a term paper I should have been writing while drawing these guys  :o

I felt for some reason you were already on the list but I guess not. Moreover, your excellent example redeems you a spot on the green list! (I think I'll call it that now instead of the Elite list, sounds too cocky.) Welcome on board!

You. And thanks for these. They are great :D Feel free to post again any time :D

Thanks, I feel so honored!  Lets hope my next random hit of inspiration doesn't take as long as last time.

Hey guys!  Long time no see, Hydro said before that if I ever wanted to put up another generation I could so, here it is!  Chances are, if I put up another update, the next one won't be for a whiiiiiiiiile.  Hope you like the stuff!

Sky Tree (Aerospherica Arboria)

Creator: Nuclearchinchila

Ancestor: Sky Balloon

Size: large(?)(6-8 m) tall

Habitat: Atmosphere

Diet: Photosynthesis

Reproduction: Asexual budding

A mutation in a certain number of Sky Balloons made it so they continued to grow much larger than the average Sky Balloon.  This resulted in the balloons falling closer and closer back to the surface and making it harder for them to pull nutrients our of the higher-atmosphere environment they had adapted for.  This resulted in the dormant root system to return, allowing for Sky Trees to gather nutrients from the water and aid in the production of more hydrogen within the balloon, allowing them to return to the skies until they became too weighed down with water or their "bodies" became too heavy.  The original single circular pedal has split into multiple layers of individual sturdy leaves that aid in photosynthesis but aren't as good at collecting water, not that it matters with the re-emerged root system.  Sky Trees also naturally "feel" moisture in the air through their roots and when the humidity is high enough they lower themselves automatically into water.  However, this doesn't always work.  In such cases as very heavy fog a Sky Tree may attempt to gather water but actually lower itself onto land, and without water or nutrients to get and no way to produce more hydrogen it will slowly die.

Plentutri (Aeroflora Tooty)

Creator: Nuclearchinchila

Ancestor: Plentutu

Size: Tiny (20-30 cm)

Habitat:  Ovi-Hydro Savanna and anywhere with food+Sky Trees

Diet: (Herbivore) Pampyrus,

Reproduction: Sexual, live birth, 2 genders

With the evolution of the Sky Balloon some Plentutu began to fly up to them and rest on the plant's pedal/leaf.  The Plentutri have evolved smaller bodies and live in between the leaves of the Sky Tree.  They stay to the innermost part of the tree but can walk along most of the stiff and sturdy leaves.  Plentutris fly down to gather nuts and fruit and then, with their large beaks, journey back up to the Sky Trees to feed their young.  Plentiuris are susceptible to predators when a Sky Tree lowers itself to the water or when gathering food.

P.S.-Is the area called "Nuke" named after me or someone else with a Nuclear/Nuke prefix?

BOO!  The first predator in the western desert is...
Azelak Sprinter (Chamaelifer Desertis)

The Azelak residing in their alpine habitat grew greatly in number due to a lack of predators.  This led some to live further away from the central alpine region and into the western desert.  They began to eat the bubbles off of the bubble cactus but, that being the main source of food for other creatures such as the Nonomaton it lowered the abundance of the cactus.  So the Azelak began to feed on some of the plant-like plents.  This allowed for the regrowth of lost bubble cactus organisms.  They became the Azelak Sprinter, a slightly larger, leaner Azelak that runs faster than almost all creatures in the desert region.  It's strong tail has grown larger and when hunting prey will give the Azelak an extra powerful boost, propelling it forward faster and onto it's prey.  Though now partially carnivorous, the Azelak Sprinter still eats plants such as the bubble cactus.  It's "teeth" are actually a curved and seraded row of bone-like material on the top and bottom of it's mouth.  These seraded rows have few pain-recepting nerves in them and can heal themselves incase they are broken.  It's coloring has become more of a sandy color but it still holds some of it's old fur coloring.  The fur helps keep the Azelak cool in the desert(like a camel).  The Azelak Sprinter is about the size of a small deer.

Hope you guys like it!  If you ever want another guest post, just say so!

Hey that's fine, but if you ever feel the urge to make anything else of mine you don't even have to think twice!

Sorry for an extreme lack of updates, I've been busy and when on the forums I've been putting my time into bringing back my two alien races, sorry bout that.  I don't think I'll be updating anytime soon so count me out for now, sorry to say BUT don't count me out permanently!  Once first semester is over and mid-terms are outta the way I'll have 2 fewer classes and hopefully more time to devote towards super-nerdiness and the Drake 3 project!
