You could piss off some folks and hope they destroy your hut forcing a level restart.
Or go combat and try to take out what remains.
We are still working on this deal.... No final news right now tho. We're trying....

sorry to resurrect this post.
I sent an email to MaxisCactus about this (she contacted me first) but didn't get a reply yet. Maybe she didn't receive my email or it got caught in junk mail.
I was referring to the 3D models production in Australia.
That looks really good so far, Legion!
I was hoping Spore would have a little photo album kind of thing like the Sims has, but no dice. I used to like making spoofy news stories in that about the goings-on in my neighbourhood. [shameless_plug] http://thesims2.ea.com/exchange/story_detail.php?asset_id=192313 [/shameless_plug]
I'm clueless about web design, but.....is there any way you could kind of expand this idea? I mean, back in 2006 with the demonstration alongside Brian Eno, Will Wright was talking about a Multiverse Report that told you about how many people had killed your creature or befriended it and so on. Yet in the game, you just get three little sentences in Sporepedia.
What I'm driving at here though is....is there a way you could make that layout into a kind of template? Where you have the solar system view at the top and we can add our own planets in the boxes underneath? That way, we could collaboratively combine the stories of our own home systems and have our own kind of miniature Gamingsteve collaborative multiverse story thingy. We could use the templates, fill in the blanks, and then have a bunch of pages dedicated to our systems.
It's just an idea though, what you have is already pretty awesome. The spinning planets look great! I'm glad the community is working on backstories. I tried to do a Vemnix one in the Mashon comic thingy but it got so fiddly and sluggish from my slow connection I gave up.
So I'm going through Tribe phase on Hard, and it's been a while since I saved. Someone's goofy-looking UFO appears and starts acting suspiciously, hovering back and forth over my tribe area.
"Oh god, no, please... not this..." were my thoughts, as I've seen it posted before.
...And, of course, it happened. HE TOOK MY TRIBE LEADER AND BROKE MY GAME.
Now I have to revert to the save I had god-knows how many hours ago. Argghh, how frustrating!
Just wait... just wait until I evolve. I'll find you. I swear, I'll... find you...
I finally saw an Epic that was not one of my own creatures. It was... Larrot, made by WeAreLegion. It was sort of a giant parakeet. I took some screen shots, but it was very late last night, so I didn't look at them yet. I'll post this weekend if they aren't horrible.
Also, slightly off-topic: I ran into this guy within SECONDS of starting my first try at the Civ phase. It was cool, but sort of irritating to have an epic creature inside my city walls, when I (a) didn't really know what I was doing yet, and (b) had no money. He destroyed everything I built. I finally had to just ignore him (inside my city!!) while I went about the business of setting up some trade routes. He wasn't eating people, and didn't seem to be bothering my city hall, so it was okay to just let him roost in one of my vacant lots.
Then, later when I had money coming in a faster rate, I was able to build two turrets at a time, so one could shoot him while he destroyed the other. Wait awhile for money to replenish, and repeat. I burned through at least 10 to 12 turrets before I finally laid that sucker to rest.
This has been known for quite some time. It's on the box, so it's not a surprise.
