Aww, I really like Amy Winehouse :(

Her music is jazzy and loungy and cool.

OK, since this is music I HATE, I'd have to say I really hate the identikit skinny jeans/hair bands that all start with a "The..."

I hated the driving at first, but I've gotten rather good at it. I love going backwards, and doing a 180.

Oh, if you have watched that video about how to get some of the achievements on your xbox, the one man army one is wrong.
If you stand in the spot they tell you, you will get ambushed at about 3 minutes.

It's better to go on the train tracks on the side. Walk down until you reach a platform with a wall on the left. Worked the 1st try for me.
I just hid behind the pool table in the cafe for five minutes! Worked a charm.

I'm sure I said this before but Microsofts decision to exclude a hard drive as standard spec is so stupid that it boggles my mind.

"But, like, nobody used the HDD on Xbox!" they say. Pathetic. Everyone who played Halo used a hard drive whether they knew it or not. And that is basically the entire userbase. Morons.(MS that is, not Halo fans. Although now I think about it...)

That is because MS doesn't make mistakes so with the whole Undertow thing (and the game is like Geometry Wars but underwater) was a way to get new people onto xbox live.

It took them 3 years to admit there was a problem with the 360 in the first place!

People sometimes had to wait months for their machine to come back only to get a new machine and not being able to use their game saves and the like!
Totally. The DRM thing is a weird one. In one sense it's a lot better than Nintendo's DRM - with the Wii you buy your stuff, it works only on your console, end of. At least MS do allow you to use your content on other consoles as well as long as you can prove it's you which is excellent and makes social gaming easier and more fun. The problem starts when the RRoD shows its ugly face. Microsoft should transfer the license information stuff over to your new 360 when you send it in for repairs, anything else is outright disgraceful.

It has only been out for just over two years, though.

Plus, with that logic you could say that Liara is a child/teen since she is only one-hundred and something and that is 'little more than a child' in asari time.
She's a woman now, ah yeah.

Isn't it closer to seven days before the DLC comes out? I think it's March 10th.

On a completely unrelated topic, what is it with console fanboyism? Why must there be a winner and a loser? I have a friend who has been an avid Sony guy for two consoles and has now "switched sides" to Xbox. The crazy thing is, he's now anti-Sony! I asked him why not be both pro-Microsoft AND pro-Sony? Hating the other console isn't mandatory. He didn't really have a satisfactory answer.

Here's an irritating thing: when a feature such as rumble isn't included in PS3, it's no big deal as far as Sony fanboys would have you believe. When it's finally brought back though it's some massive victory to rub in the faces of 360 guys. What's with that? And why should happily rumbling 360 guys be particularly impressed? Fanboys are crazy.

I feel a little dissatisfied with the 360 - I really hate Microsoft's extremely pervasive, borderline dishonest PR thing. Remember they made Undertow free because the Live service didn't work over Chri... er... the holiday period? Well, did they actually say that? No, it was all "check out this amazing offer - download Undertow for free for a limited time only!" with no mention of the problems or a real apology. This is representative of their attitude in general and it is rather unpleasant. Their Live Arcade release philosophy is completely baffling in general too.

I am also upset about the omission of a Hard Drive from the 360 specification. Microsoft says that only a small percentage of their userbase actually used the Xbox hard drive but that is nonsense. Everyone who played Halo (and let's face it, that's pretty much their whole userbase!) used the HD because Halo cached stuff on it.

I only really bought a 360 because of PDZ (PD being my favourite game ever), I was inclined to wait to see how the PS3 turned out. But I really don't regret my choice - Live is amazing and there are always games I want to play. Maybe the PS3 is better, but it doesn't make the 360 bad, you know?

As I said before, opinion is the thing and that's personal and subjective, not empirical.

You know what Laserbyte, your right. The 360 blows, i think i will drop 400$ tonight for a PS3 and anxiously await the arrival of games that are supposed to be good, as to the ones that are out on my 360 now that are already prooven to be fun, but its a 360, they cant possibly be that good can they?

Sweet and while you're at it you should pick up Call of Duty 4 for PS3 which is so much better than the 360 version despite being exactly the same game but with worse analogue sticks.

Cthulhu is not happy with the console war in general.

Cthulhu just wants a calm and peaceful rivalry that promotes quality and fairness.

Cthulhu is going out for a sunday.
Good call.

Ok I don't know what crack you are smoking but I find the PS3 controller to be very comfortable and to me it works very well with the over all feel.  I don't like the rounded buttons on the 360 controller (plus they stole the design from the Dreamcast one!) I like how the R2 button is bigger and is much easier to find.
Haha, great phrase! Some crazy crack, for sure.

You have an R1 and R2 and a L1 and L2 button plus the 2 analog sticks and the Triangle Circle Squre and X button and of course the start button the PS button and the select button.
I did not know this, PS3 sounds awesome!

Playing games like Resistance is a real joy as you don't have 12 year old kids cussing and being idoits!!
I guess they're all off playing Xbox games!

Ok first off games like Assassian's Creed was developed for the PS3 as well as DMC4 they just decided to port them to the 360.  If you actually look at a comparasion side by side you will see the PS3 version is much better.  I also think the control for the PS3 version works better.
I always wonder about things like this. The PS2 pretty much proved that technological superiority is absolutely not a key factor of a console's success. So do the improved graphics really matter to the wider market when the game is otherwise identical? It seems that the PS3 is keen to show off its superiority but does it mean anything really?

Oh and as far as achievments you can get achievements so easiler that to me they are pointless.  Let's see in some of the sports games you can gain 1000 points just by playing a short game or in the Avatar game you can make 1500 points right off the bat for killing enemies on a certain floor.  To me that is just a waste
Yeah I agree, points are still often misused by developers. At their best they encourage extended and varied gameplay but there are still many wasted opportunities. At least silly achievements like "Be top of the world leaderboard" aren't so common these days.

it really doesn't mean anything at all just a way to show off and say look how lame I am and I have no live expect to unlock everything in this game :)
Haha yeah, playing games is for stupid idiots!

There really aren't any good exclusive games coming out for the 360.  GTAIV is not my kind of game and the extra content that is coming on it MS paid a butt load for it.  Also Rockstar has an exclusive game coming for the PS3 so they aren't too worried about GTA at all.  What is the extra content gonna be probably a lvl or a car or something that at some point will come to the PS3 via a download after 6 months or so.
Yeah, GTA is totally not a big deal, I can't think of anybody who's interested in that. Luckily, despite nobody caring about their biggest game, Rockstar is still making a PS3 game that it makes sense that everyone would care about!

I really think developers now are realizing the power the PS3 has now.  Plus the PS3 has the Blu Ray player built in that can hold quite a bit of data.   So you will see games for the PS3 come on one disk as opposed to the 360 coming on 4 or 5 disks.  And the problem I have with that is with the technology we have today we shouldn't have to be swaping disks like that back in the PS1 era it was to be expected.  I really don't like swapping disks at all on any machine but with the power of the PS3 and blu ray we will see that problem resolved.
Yeah, the DVD space is a problem - PGR4 developerd Bizarre Creations were complaining about space on the DVD, I think they even cut out some features because of space. I can imagine multiple discs being a pain, although I have no first hand experience of this.

Most games I had for the 360 I have since gotten for the PS3 and have had a much better time with them.
They're exactly the same games!

Plus Warhawk is an excellent online game and they are always adding new content.
Warhawk looks amazing, I'd love to try it out. It looked a bit shaky until it came out but it looks like they were able to pull a really cool game out at the end there.

I really think this year the PS3 will really shine!!
I hope so! It could be a great console and with Home and PSN it could tread very new ground in the industry. I hope they can get it together and learn from Microsoft's mistakes rather than repeating them.

I just don't think the 360 is the platform for RPGs.  It is the platform for FPS games and multiplayer games.
But it has significantly more RPG's than anything else! Is there even an RPG on PS3? Folklore, I guess, but that's not a name that springs to my mind when I think 'RPG'.

I don't think I like it, sadly. How come the knife is the best weapon in an FPS?

Now I feel sorry for all the people who bought the HD DVD addon as it is a dead format!
I wouldn't feel sorry for them - all those HD-DVD movies will be super cheap!  ;D
