I seriously hope they pull it out and actually finally release rockband over here soon. I'm going to be living in a house with three other guys next year and we've been throwing around the idea of collectively buying rockband. Of course, we won't be able to do that if the damn thing isn't even released yet.
It came out last Friday!

For the equivalent of US$375

The game scales with you,

Lols, my response too. If the game scales with you then what's the reward for improving?

I think I'm going to wait and see if they release it on disc as one big collection when all the episodes have been released.

Ooh, they blatantly will! Damn, I wish I'd though of that before forking out my 1600 points. :(

Also Ladytron - an enduring favourite of mine.

It would be brilliant if Microsoft were to reverse their policy regarding the hard drive and make it mandatory for some games. I doubt they will to be honest though - Halo would have been the game to do it with if they were going to go that way. Still, the size limit is now seven times what it once was so that's progress I suppose.

I bought Penny Arcade Adventures too, 1600 points is a lot but to be fair it just brings it in line with the PC/Mac version price wise. It's about 150MB or 160MB as Santa says.

I really enjoyed it I have to say - my thoughts are pretty much identical to Santa's. There were several moments when I genuinely laughed out loud and I really liked the characters. The combat was a bit less successful - it was very difficult managing attacks and inventory and blocks all at the same time. As I'm playing on an SDTV I also found the icons for special attacks to be very hard to read so I pretty much went with pot luck when choosing special attacks. I'd have preferred turn-based combat I think. I liked the environments a lot and I'm not really upset by how few there are given that it's episodic.

I wouldn't say I'd recommend it unequivocally to anyone, especially at 1600 Special Dollars, but I did really enjoy it and if you like Penny Arcade you'll probably like this.

I'll be interested to see how well they stick to a release schedule and if Microsoft's XBLA release schedule will match it.

Actually LBP is a direct copy of Peter Molyneux's "The Room".  Which is hardly surprising, considering the guys making it are former Lionhead members.  Still, I'm surprised there's not been a lawsuit.

I really don't think you can justify calling LBP a "direct copy" of The Room, just because they both have physics models and customisation in them. "Inspired by" maybe, but I think you chose your words badly.

Its ridge speed racer! SPEEEED RACER!

Haha, the exact same thing crossed my mind!

I kinda liked the film but I'm not really sure why. The colours maybe? The acting was pretty good.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have manipulated her voice so that it sounds good on the CD's, anyone can sing good on a recording now adays ya know. There are many people who get famous just because of their looks who can't sing at all, like Paris Hilton (well, she doesn't even look good), that have managers and skilled recording artists that makes their voice sound good so they can make music even though they suck.
I don't think Amy Winehouse is geting by on her looks though  :P

You're right of course, computers can work miracles these days, but whatever her albums give me happies.

Well I just got back from checking this out I didn't see Yahtzee partly because I didn't know where the room where the talk was going on was, but mostly because I was busy being distracted playing Portal the station showing it.

Expect a full report on LadyMpire in the coming days.
I'm looking forward to reading it! I'm always interested in this kind of event.

Anyway, Once internet speeds get faster, and hard drives get cheaper, I think we will download most of our games.

The only problem is brick and mortar wont want to carry a system if they can't sell games for it.

The days of brick and mortar are numbered. They know it and they deserve it.

To me that list looks too good to be true. It has fixed my two biggest problems - 4 way voice chat and slow games library loading - as well as a whole other bunch of stuff I'm really delighted to see. If that's truly the update list then I'm overjoyed.

Wow, what an obnoxious guy.

It's an individual's responsibility not to mess himself up with videogames, alcohol, cigarettes, cars etc. and if they do then you can't really hold anyone to account but the individual.

I also believe games do more good than harm by making them think and solve logic problems and learn stuff and also hone their reflexes to super-leet levels.

So I don't think much of his anti video game arguments.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Sony bought out the makers of this game.
They're still independent according to their website:

Do you seriously think that is good?
No, although that's not the only thing that Amy Winehouse has ever done. I really like her two albums, neither of which features this song.
