the normal video, posted in the first post of this thread, works too now.

Actually, it always worked.. just not for everyone. It still skips and buffers endlessly for me.

Did anyone else notice the bugs in the Creature stage? The Baby texture problem and the broken leg animation? I thought they would have fixed those by now, they've been around for so long. And in the space phase where he visits the tribe, how in the world would one get down from that plateau? The drop off near the fire looked nasty. So much for alien "intelligence"

Also, the BanMe from earlier in the thread was hilariously weak. It made me laugh.

Shouldn't Youtube be using some kind of modified good-search now, or has it been totally untouched by google ever since they acquired it, because that's what it looks like. Sorry if this is a totally unrelated question...
Actually, Google Video Searches spit out Youtube.com links now as well.

Just a few things:
I wanted to Viddler this so we can keep the quality. I'm tired of poor quality FREE videos....

If you are using Firefox, clear your cookies and cache and the page will load fine. In Internet Explore, clear Private Data or exit and reopen your browser.

Not Working. But for all of us Content over quality folks, could you Youtube it just for us?

And No, those appear to be the only Youtube clips thus far.

WOOO! Whoever deekodotcom is just uploaded the Video onto Youtube.com in three parts:

Parts 1, 2, and 3 respectively:
PART I
PART II
PART III

EDITs:
Upon closer inspection, this appears to be a Second video from the SXSW conference... probably.
2:Fixed the links
3:Also, the Youtube videos only covers the first 7 or so minutes.

I have DSL, but the thing plays for 10 seconds then loads for 10 seconds. And it skips a second forward when it starts to buffer again. It is unwatchable in that state.  :'(

Actually, I found you can download the MP3 from the Fora.tv site itself.

Also I wish Darkdragon (if I remember his name right) would get up so he can get that video and rehost it somewhere reliable. The only reason I can think of that makes sense is that the Uploader saw the Viddler presentation that was also at the SXSW and decided their model made good sense (even though the carry-through is worse by far than Youtube).

Well, having watched the videos more than a few times and falling asleep every night listening to the mp3 of Will and Eno presentation (kidding), that seems like his kind of humor to me.

You wouldn't happen to know where I could download that, would you?

Edit: Never Mind, I found It

I wish the uploader hadn't loaded it on such a crappy You-Tube knock-off.  >:(
I really want to see the rest of it after 2 minutes.

Yeah, I wondered when this would pop up.

Also, according to the article, there will be no Playable gas giants.

"For a brief while, we considered making gas giants playable, but not having a solid surface makes game play difficult" -Will Wright

Whatever people are willing to pay, unfortunately. :P

Depending on the size, I'd hope no more than $5 not including s&h. I don't know much about the process myself. What materials would they use for this process? Will they be painted as well?

If the figurines are sturdy, I'd like to see a keyring option. ;)

If they do plushies, which I highly doubt, those would be very expensive. Is it even possible to do those in an AutoCAD sort of way? They'd probably have to pay another company to make them by hand, unless they decide to make bunches of popular designs for retail sale.

I'm liking the keyring/charm idea. Maybe have a special part in the editor, just a loop, that doesn't show up in the game or have any effect but to let you place the loop the thing will hang from, and show you how it will hang, then add it to the instructions for the process.

According to the picture in the article, it looks to be a little plastic figurine. Fully Painted.

"You fools! YOU FOOLS! We are the mightiest citadel on all of (planet name here) and your infantile attempts at conquest shall win you nothing but death, destruction and desecration! YOU SHALL BE PROCEDURALLY EXTERMINATED LIKE THE PATHETIC SLIME THAT YOU ARE!!!"

You made me shoot Tea out my nose!

Probably will be on the same level as Civ4 or RoN, ye know?

Spore: General / Re: Size of Planets and Flying the UFO
« on: June 02, 2006, 08:55:50 pm »
Actually i think that entire paragraph is speculation. All the planets (gas giant aside) seen so far seem to be of a very similar size. We know planets can have no atmosphere, but unless i missed something there has been no confirmation of different atmospheres, or gravity etc. So we just don't know yet.

Where the heck have you been? The E3 Presentation Given by WW clearly shows
A) Planets of Different Sizes (Compare The Home Planet and the Barren one he lands a comet on, Especially the city/colony sizes)
B) Atmospheres (He References atmosphere several times, and you can see the different cloud populations on the Planets)
C) Gravity (There clearly are Gravitational Physics in Play when WW throws a Creature with the UFO tractor beam, not sure about the differences)

I'm just getting little red x's on the main page of the pics.

And I had that same problem with the video.
