Do you contract yourselves out during this time or ride what money rundown brigs in till you do something else?

If you don't mind me asking how you keep the lights on

We've been keeping busy with porting Runbow to 3DS.  As far as the lights, a combination of Runbow cash and sweet, sweet government grants helps keep us going.  We're very fortunate that Ontario is very supportive of the growing game development industry.

What's next!?

But nah, we've got all sorts of plans that we're not ready to talk about yet, but we're keeping busy.

Thanks guys!  It's been a long road but it's been great to see how far Runbow has gone!

Runbow is in retail stores now, and that's neat!

Still haven't had a chance to check the local Gamestop, but I am so excited to see the game on a shelf!

Saw a theory bouncing around that Aether is gonna turn out to be the big bad at some point and the player is gonna have to team up with Skull to bring them down, which would be neat.

Oh man.  Just got back from doing a draft of the Pokemon TCG with some friends of mine.  For the first time in 20 years I actually played the game properly.  Good times.

Quite a bit.  Big changes to the story mode, better combat, better performance, better networking, more dungeons, more towns, more weapon types.  It's quite the overhaul.

And apparently, 1.0 has now just launched.  Exciting stuff.  Really happy for the dev team.

I actually didn't know that we were in that exhibit.  We displayed Runbow at the museum during the Nindies@Night event that kicked off PAX Prime last year, but its neat to find out that we're there again.  I'm certain I was told about this and just forgot.  Neat stuff!

I'd like to throw a recommendation out there for Dying Light. Very fun take on the zombies, open world, and survival. It is basically a functioning version of Dead Island (same devs) with a lot of the dumb stuff fixed. The hook is that you have to rely more on melee weapons. Using guns is allowed, but zombies are cued in on sound in particular. So if you fire your gun, expect to have zombies coming in from all over.

And then it gets dark.

Exactly.  Basically with Dead Island they were under strict limitations from their publisher which caused them to cut some corners.  After that was a success, they were able to make Dying Light live up to the full potential of the original vision, and with the lessons learned from the first one.  Personally though, I always liked the setting of Dead Island more, so I'm really excited that they're working on a new game with the old resort setting, but the lessons learned from Dying Light.
