I find this game to be incredible fun.

There are things you need to consider, however.

If you do not have an Xbox Live Gold account, don't even bother buying this game. The single player missions are basically nothing more than an extended tutorial for the REAL game, which is playing online.

The other thing you need is a very active squad. Running 1 v 1 missions against the computer or another personcan be a bit boring, but if you have 2 or more people (preferably more) playing against other people, it becomes one of the most fun games I've played online ever.

I used to play this quite a bit when it first came out on PC and it was one of the coolest new features I've seen in any FPS.

I already have a 360, and I'll be getting a Wii when it comes out for sure.

I'm sorry, but If I'm going to spend $600.00 AND how much ever extra  for an extra controller and games (figure at least $50.00 for controller and $60.00 for games), I'd rather just upgrade my motherboard, processor and videocard for my computer.

With the price of the PS3 being roughly equal to the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii combined, it's going to be a tough sell for Sony, especially in Europe where 600 euros is quite a bit more than $600 US. Most Europeans pay a lot more in sales tax than we do in the US, so you need to take that into consideration also. I don't know what they were thinking when they came up with the pricing figures.

Finding a currency converter with the rates current as of 29 May 06 we find that:

600 = $765.48 USD

425  = $790.44 USD

Now add tax onto that.

Loving the game so far. I haven't played a Mario game since SMW and All Stars back in the SNES days, and I'm really surprised that it controls almost exactly like those games, even 15 years later.

I'm going to wait on getting a DS Lite until I can get it in either black or blue. I'm not inclined to spend the extra money to import it from Japan, either. Then I'll give my old one to either my niece or nephew.
