True but the original team are more secondary characters now. They make apperances but only sometimes. I'm really not a fan of the new members. And House and Wilsons relationship was so good. I liked their talks, I don't want Wilson being someone House calls up now and then. I hope the PI doesn't stick around. I don't mind him but he better not replace Wilson....

Movies / Eagle Eye (Spoilers)

So I got to see an early version of Eagle Eye. Overall it was pretty cool.  There was predictable things like the voice being an AI and the use of the twin factor. And some stretches  but overall it was pretty enjoyable. Reminds you of how much you are really watched. Coming home I noticed the camera in my builds lobby and elevator and looked at them a little different  ;)

My two biggest complaints are that Jerry should have died. Too often it's a happy ending and even though there were gasps in the theatre when he was shot and I felt bad I think it would have worked better when he died. Shooting a gun in his situation I think they would shoot to kill.  The other problem was things like the car chase. It was like transformers where  the scene turned into fast moving metal and explosions and you lose track of what you are actually looking at.

I was almost cracking up at the end as they were yanking the hard drives because the computer failing reminded me of GLaDOS from portal.  Overall though not a bad movie I enjoyed it.

To be honest some of these I was expecting when I bought the game.

Even though I knew about the finding parts, I thought having everything unlocked and "buying" the parts allows for more freedom instead of pushing a person to hunt down that one mouth they really want.

And terraforming...It's such a disaster with so many limits on it. They need something like the world creator in Civ 3. Set the sea level, landmass type, humidity and temperature. They are all in a range that allows life to exsist but it allows for barren planets or much colder planets with the equator being more hospitable. The game could even randonly create them I just want variety.

I hope you get my point, the kill stealing you are talking about isn't really kill stealing.

No I get it, it's more like kill-preventing. I can only fight a single creature at a time, where someone who does AoE's can damage multiple creatures. With people running around spamming AoE's  they kill off creatures that I could potentially kill but because I can't kill as quickly, or I can only attack one thing at a time I'm at a disadvantage.  I love the concept but it really needs to be tweaked.

Wilson can't leave!  This is as bad as when they split up the team.  I want the old House back, I'm not liking all these characters leaving. Yeah we still get to see them but it's not as good as Season 1-3 House. I loved Wilson as a foil to House. He better come back.

You can't kill steal in PQ's, you get as much influense as you do damage, not as many as you kill.

Well in a sense can't you still kill steal? I'd be fighting one thing, and a sorcerer would aggro a bunch of other creatures, stand beside me, use some AoE and kill everything. Now yes I would have gotten the most damage on what I was fighting but he just wiped out a lot of other things I could have also fought. And he did it with one spell.  And this isn't a one off occurance. One PQ I was  in had no less then three people spamming AoE's. There was nothing left to kill.  I know there is the random number thing in there too but I don't know.. Maybe I just don't fully understand how the PQ's work. 

The other thing I noticed, which surprised me is there are empty PQ's. Until recently every PQ I saw had big groups of people for every round. While walking in one area I found a PQ and no one else was around. I checked on it a few times through the day and still no one. Are there lots of empty PQ's?

Those things are annoying. I was looking around at it  the first time I saw it and my creature got stuck between two even thing I didn't even try to pass between the two. I was completely stuck. I was lucky that if I logged out and back in they turned into creatures and I could play.


They aren't new creatures on your planet because the nest I was visiting already had  creatures, it might be evolving like FR27 suggested

I've been playing this.  I'm actually enjoying myself I didn't think I would.  Sadly though I want to get away from the Fantasy MMO's.  I've been playingthem for too long. And although not surprising it's a bit disappointing to see Destruction having such a noticeable lead over Order.  The public Quests are a bit strange. WHile they are fun it seems to promote kill stealing. I admitedly don't know the mechanics of how the game determines how much you have helped but people run all over the place killing things others are killing.  My guess is trying to kill as many things as possible and do as much damage as possible. Which is ashame, other then that I would probably suggest it to people.

Wait for Spore to be patched... when it comes down to it, Spore has all the depth of Civ4.

Civ4 will run easily on any system that will run Spore, and laptops too.
But there are 4 expansions to it... and until a Platinum version is released, that makes the game mucho expensive.

A patch won't add anywhere near the depth Civ 4 has! You would needed an expansion dedicated to customizing your civilization.

And Civ 4 has only 2 expansions. Warlords and Beyond the Sword.  And you can already buy Civ 4 bundled with Warlords. In fact I can't find them sold seperately.
Civ 4 is great fun

Sins of a Solar Empire is also quite fun. I personally find i prefer Civ 4 but Sins is also very fun. And I don't know about Football Manager so I can't really comment on it.

I noticed the same problem. My friend and I also encounted another problem with a vehicle he made, when we scroll out far enough so we can actually manage on the city stage most of the textures just turn purple (there isn't even purple on the vehicle, the texture just disappears). My computer can easily handle the textures and I have everything set to max. It's annoying to put effort into creating something when 90% of the time on screen it just appears purple, you can't even tell the shape.  It's not even poor quality texture, it's just no texture.

This is cool. I wonder if the bug is because of left over water stage stuff.

I wouldn't think so, creatures can still swim on the surface and none of this is actually underwater. I would guess this is more a problem with the game not placing the creature where it should start. Looking at the screenshots there is land, but instead of starting you out on shore it starts you out in the ocean and approaching land seems like it might trigger the sea monster.

You can restart the space phase but it won't be the same. It won't have the history of your creature and it will be a different planet. Start a space game and load the creature you are currently using. You can then also import all your vehicles and buildings. It doesn't count as the same game, you can't see your progression or anything like that but  it's the only way to start over.

Now if you do want to keep that game and are really struggling there are also cheats to give you money if you are so inclined..
